Amazing place. Best sushi we have ever had. Was worried it was too fancy, but it was a good Ballance. Yes slightly expensive, but the best nijiri we have ever had. Place looks really cool too. Amazing decor and design. Friendly helpful staff. 11/10. Great cocktails and drink selection too. Made the right choice. Would go back.

We tried the omakase as a group of four and the food was overall very good. Most dishes were well executed. The only negative was with the maki course. We were served four different types of rolls, but each roll only had six pieces despite all four of us ordering the $150 omakase ($600 only for food + $sake and $desserts). This meant we had to split unevenly and decide who gets which type instead of each person enjoying the full experience. When we asked, we were told that each roll “comes in six pieces.” At this price point, that explanation doesn’t make sense. A tasting menu should be adapted to the number of guests so everyone receives equal portions. As it stands, the more people you are, the less each person gets, which feels inconsistent for a fixed-price experience. Great food overall, but this detail took away from what should have been a seamless experience.
Went for take out( around 6:45 pm on a Thursday), and everything was a display of a high standard of quality and care The service: wonderful! The quality of the food: top one. The environment: such a harmonious one. The architecture and design: marvelous! Thank you, I’ll be back again soon
I had a lovely dinner tonight at Ryu. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and we were greeted so warmly. The staff were incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. We really enjoyed our meal, and everything about the experience felt thoughtful and well done. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and everything tasted very fresh. The atmosphere was perfect, not too crowded, which made it easy to relax and have a great conversation with my friend. It felt like such a cozy and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I loved everything about it and will definitely be coming back again!
Came to Ryu on Valentine’s day for their fixed menu and had a pleasant experience. Very fresh fish. The sashimi platter, caviar crab roll and toro maki were among my favourites. The wagyu tataki was very tender and flavourful, but not worth the extra $20 in my opinion. The presentation and service is superb.
Learned about this place from a youtuber. It's a really good sushi restaurant. They have their own unique rolls. Also many of the classics. Perfect place for a date night. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved my experience here tonight! Delicious mocktails. All the food was fabulous, especially the kaizen & kamikaze makis. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our waiter Julian was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, we loved his attentive service. Also the volcano dessert is amazing. I usually have something to criticize in restaurants, but nothing tonight. I would definitely come back!
Great ambience. Very fresh food. Amazing service. Everything feels gentle and comfortable. Enjoyed the restaurant itself.
The interior does not match the photos on the website at all. In reality, there is barely any interior — it looks severely worn down. The food is tasty and fresh, but nothing special, especially considering the above-average prices. I came here because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience did not match the expectations they created.
Otorro avec plus de ottoroo et finalement du O toro Best sushi in mtl Authentic japanese restaurant, no fancy sauces, pure high quality raw fish. - otorro platter - deluxe platter Those 2 are a must Came back for more…. They gave us a tuna belly w truffles on it, 2 of the greatest blessings of nature coming together…. Nature vs nurture…. Nature ALWAYS wins Enjoy thank me later
Planned to go there for my birthday, they canceled our reservation with no warning because there was an electrical shortage. Nothing was communicated to us, drove 45 minutes for nothing and this was reserved weeks in advance. Had to learn on the spot when we saw that all the lights were off and nobody would answer our calls. Disappointed by the lack of communication.
Quality sushi restaurant. Cozy vibe
Nice low key vibes here. Intimate yet relaxing and calm ambiance. Very courteous staff. Ordered a few things here and they were all plated beautifully. The wagyu surf and turf maki was nicely done. Wagyu was delicate. Toro and chutoro nigiri was standard, which sometimes is the best. Lightly dressed up. Will need to come back to try other dishes.
