Came here for a girls night and did not leave disappointed! We were served by Rudy, his service was exceptional, he was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Not to mention, the food and vibes were great, totally recommend Ryu Griffintown for your next night out!

Went for a girls night out and was taken care of by Rudy. His service was amazing and he was so attentive. The food was also spectacular. No complaints whatsoever and I definitely recommend going to Ryu Griffintown.

I had the best experience last night at Ryu. Rudy made us feel very welcome and gave us incredible service. I always order the salmon tacos but he suggested I try the spicy salmon miso tartare - it was truly an incredible dish! Thank you for the amazing service and phenomenal cuisine. :)

Last night, I had dinner at Ryu Griffintown with my daughter, and we both had such a lovely evening. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, especially the fish, and the dishes were beautifully prepared without feeling overly complicated. It certainly isn't an inexpensive restaurant, but in my opinion, the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food and the care that goes into it. Partway through our dinner, a very large group of about twenty people arrived, many of them young children. Naturally, the restaurant became quite busy all at once. There were only two people handling most of the service, so you could see that they had their hands full, but I was genuinely impressed by the way everyone worked together. Our waiter, Rudy, was wonderful. He continued checking on us throughout the evening and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager was helping by bringing out food and assisting wherever necessary, and even the hostess who had seated us was carrying plates and bringing water to tables. Everyone simply pitched in. Having eaten in many restaurants over the years, I tend to notice these little details. A sudden group of that size, especially with so many children, can be very challenging for any restaurant. The service may have slowed slightly at moments, which was completely understandable, but we never felt forgotten or poorly treated. Later, I came to understand that the large group was the owner dining with his family. What impressed me even more was that the staff still continued taking care of the rest of the restaurant rather than focusing all of their attention on that one table. I also happened to read the recent negative review, and I must say that it simply does not reflect the experience my daughter and I had. I certainly would not describe the staff as rude or the service as poor. Quite the opposite. I saw a small team working very hard under difficult circumstances while remaining pleasant and attentive. We had a wonderful evening, enjoyed very fresh food, and were especially impressed by the effort of Rudy and the entire team. I would happily return.

Ryu Sushi in Griffintown delivers an outstanding dining experience. The food is exceptional — fresh and beautifully prepared. The setting is classic and elegant, with soft lighting and a calm, non‑intrusive atmosphere. A special mention goes to Rudi, our waiter, who provided top‑tier service. He knew the menu inside and out, adapted his recommendations perfectly to our tastes, and maintained a professional, respectful presence throughout the evening. He was attentive without being intrusive. Go eat at Ryu Sushi Griffintown. Ask for Rudi as your waiter. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll enjoy great food and great service.

We came here for dinner last night and sat at the bar- dimly lit but beautiful interior. This might be some of the best sushi we’ve had (we eat a lot of sushi!) - most notable was waygu dumplings, Mr maguro and bluefin tuna were the notable highlights. Cocktails were phenomenal - expertly crafted and well balanced as described. Good quality and a good amount. Our bartender was even kind enough to provide a sample to my husband when he was making a drink for another customer. Five stars all around- a great experience from start to finish. We’ll be thinking abt those sushi rolls for a while!

Charles and Rudy were great waiters - friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. The sushi has gotten so much better compared to the past few years. I especially loved the chef’s choice nigiri and the scallop truffle roll. Definitely my new go to sushi spot!

Service was poor. Food was okay, I did like the drinks. I was really hoping for a nice experience as we reserved a dinner here to celebrate an engagement, but it was disappointing. I wouldn't return because of the waitress we had. She was cold and a bit rude. Bad days happen but there are better ways to handle it then giving attitude to your table.

His recommendations were excellent, and his positive attitude made our visit even more enjoyable. Truly some of the best service we’ve received.
