I suffer to find a pet friendly café in Montreal, Ruby was one of the best ones. Spacious, high ceilings, great vibes and you can find food for u and ur doggy.

We went to Ruby Café the weekend before last with my husband and our puppy Uldrik, and honestly, we love it more every time. It was our second visit, but we’ve been in love with the place since the first time. The atmosphere is super cozy, the staff are incredibly kind, and you can really feel how much care they put into everything. The food and drinks are top quality—everything is delicious. One thing I absolutely love is that they have a menu for dogs, which makes the experience even more special. It’s a place where you can truly relax and enjoy time with your furry companions, and they also get the chance to socialize. Ruby Café has definitely become one of our favorite spots. We’ll be back many more times!

Absolutely amazing spot, great food and vibes! I go often, even friends without dogs love it!! Quality food, affordable prices, great selection for you and your doggie. The way they treat your dogs is heartwarming ❤️ they even play happy birthday on their special day. I have made so many memories, and can't wait to make so many more. Thank you for having such a special place I can bring my furbabies, great experience every single time

The food is AMAZING ! Everything is adapted for your dog. Such a cute experience. Try to reserve in advance or play with your dog in the dog park while you wait.

Human food was a bit pricey but service was quick and the doggy was happy with his pupcake. Then the nervous dogs showed up… that’s when doggy said it’s time to go.

Such a fun experience 🥹🥹🥹 seeing one of the dogs celebrate their birthday was so wholesome. My pup devoured her 2 meatballs in a second , however she didn’t like the beer. Tasted some myself, I understandably agree with her taste 😂

Such a unique experience! 🐾 I brought my cat Sky, and she was the only cat there 😄 Everyone loved her, she enjoyed watching people and even interacting with dogs. A small note: make sure your cat is social and always use a harness for safety.

If you are looking for an experience with attentive staff, good food and a beautiful historical building , this is where you want to be. I’m a recurring patron and the dogs love the atmosphere and their special menu, they recommend the meatballs.

We went many times since it's almost the only restaurant for dogs, but the last visit wow us with the Valentine theme: the staffs were all in pink shirt, we got strawberries deeped in chocolate, our dogs got free cupcake and the staffs were so nice to help us with group photo's. We had an amazing time as well as our dogs. Been there many times, the food are good but we just wish they change their menu to make a change. Overall, very satisfied 😊

We had an amazing brunch at Ruby's café. The food was delicious and good portion. We really enjoy the ambiance, chill and clean. Our dog was really welcome to the café where she got to meet new fur friends as well, so it was perfect for her social enrichment! It can get crowded so my recommendation would be to book a table in advance. Service can be slow when crowded, just be patient, the staff is super kind!

I love bringing my dog to Ruby Café. The service is always nice - though a little on the slow side. They bring water bowls for the dogs and have the cutest menu for our furbabies, including cupcakes, meatballs, etc. The food for us humans is average (I've been at least 5 times and tried different dishes) but I don't go for myself, I go for my pup! Their cappucinos are good and the french toast sticks are worth trying.

Excellent food for us and our dogs just wolfed theirs down. The service was extremely friendly, prompt, our waitress was simply delightful, only tiny thing was the dogs' water bowls should have been kept filled... The atmosphere at Ruby's Cafe is fantastic! We met people without dogs who go there simply because they love the food and they love dogs. What I find really special about the Cafe is that everyone is there because they love dogs, so you already have an instant connection and the shared enthusiasm and friendliness of other patrons is fabulous. We will be returning again and again to Ruby's Cafe! Thank you!

Basically I'd say the only thing this place has going for itself is the fact that it's dog-friendly.When I came in and sat with my friend, we talked for about 20 minutes before someone finally came to take our orders. We mentioned that we had not been provided with menus, to which we were told that we had to use the QR code. Fine, but that would have been good to know when we first came in rather than 20 mins later.So I'm finally looking at the menu and realize how very few options they had. Most of them consisted of some sort of grilled cheese. There were very few protein options.My friend and I were given a single glass and a bottle of water. We mentioned we needed another glass as we were two people. It did not come.Finally I ordered the French toast sticks, and again I asked for another glass.The sticks were nice but it said they came with powdered sugar, and they in fact did not. Still, I had no cup to drink from. I asked a different waitress for it, and I finally got one.My friend had also ordered a cupcake for her dog to come with our food. Another thing that never came. We asked two different waitresses for it. Still nothing. They were busy playing with the dogs. My friend eventually just had to get up and get the cupcake at the counter. At least the dog seemed to enjoy it, so there was that.I would not go there again. It is severely overpriced, offers very limited options, and the service is one of the worst I've ever experienced.
