after a solid week of seeing it all over our feeds, we had to go for ourselves. Naturally, we tried to get a little bit of everything. We started with Le Party Burger, because we are always down for a good time. It was very good—a well-executed smash burger with all the crispy-edged, juicy goodness you’d expect. The only thing is… it’s not exactly reinventing the smash burger. We’ve had this style before, and honestly it’s almost identical to several others we’ve tried. Still delicious though. On the sides front: the poutine was decent, despite being made with crinkle fries. (-1 for the wrong fries) The onion rings were enormous and pretty great. We had to have a strawberry milkshake with all this. It was basically liquid strawberry ice cream. Not a bad thing at all—we loved it—but it was so thick we nearly pulled a jaw muscle trying to get it through the straw. So, the burgers themselves are good. Very good, even. But in a city already swimming in smash burgers, they don’t quite rise above the crowd. However. They do have one thing that absolutely makes this place worth the trip: the Banana Pudding. Holy crap. That stuff is incredible. Made fresh right there and topped with a delicious crumble. Creamy, sweet, and dangerously easy to consume. I would eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner without hesitation. In fact, we’d go back just for that. Burgers: solid. Sides: respectable. Banana pudding: life-changing.
Reviews / Ratings for Rosie's Burgers - Mile End
Really cute place, music was a little loud hard to hear the person at the counter. Burger was really good. Spicy chicken sandwich was great. Highly recommend.
quick, good, welcoming
Extremely salty food for no reason which was a big disappointment. From the cheese burger to the fries and onion rings the salt level was quite intense. The quality of the beef was average 6/10 and not worth $13 for a burger in my opinion. I've enjoyed much better smash burgers at our local joints that serve up freshly cut and ground on site Canadian beef for less, so I'll stick to those places. The girl at the cash was very nice and helpful plus the wait was not too long like about 10 minutes.
If you’re looking for a spot that nails the "elevated classic" burger vibe, Rosie’s Burgers is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the energy is high, and the service is absolutely top-tier—fast, friendly, and efficient. The Food • The Burger: I tried the bacon cheeseburger, and it was a masterclass in balance. The patty had that perfect smash-style crust, the cheese was expertly melted, and the bacon was thick and crispy. It’s a messy, soul-satisfying burger that doesn't fall apart. • The Standout Dessert: You cannot leave without trying the Pouding à la Banane de Papa (Papa’s Banana Pudding). It’s loaded with fresh bananas and topped with a generous layer of crushed Graham crackers that adds the perfect crunch to the creamy custard. It is easily one of the best desserts I've had at a burger joint. The Atmosphere & Service The aesthetic is clean and nostalgic, with a bright red-and-white theme that feels fresh. Even with a busy kitchen, the staff handled the rush with a smile. Everything was served hot and exactly as ordered. Quick Take • Favorite Bite: Banana Pudding (1/2 pint is plenty, but you'll want the full pint). • Vibe: Modern diner with a neighborhood feel. • Price: Very reasonable for the quality and portion size ($13-14 for a premium burger). Bottom line: Rosie’s is doing the simple things perfectly. Five stars all the way!
Great burger but you need to try the banana bread 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Finally a good burger on St. Viateur. I had The Rosie Burger (no tomato) and my wife had a beyond burger which was great! Banana pudding is nothing short of divine. Special thanks to Rob and the whole team, good vibes!
I went into Rosie's Burger with really high hopes after having an absolutely amazing experience at their Halifax location, so my bar was set pretty high. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. While the sandwich was somewhat good, it just didn't compare to the one I had out East. First off, the chicken wasn't hot when it was served. On top of that, the piece of chicken was a lot smaller and noticeably less juicy, maybe even slightly overcooked. For $12 for a single sandwich, I was definitely expecting more value and better execution. On a positive note, the customer service was great. I'm hoping I just happened to catch them on an off day. I know how good their food can be and I'd love to give them another chance, but after spending $12 on a gamble this time, it would probably take a direct invitation from management to make things right and get me back through the door.
The greatest
Solid burgers and fries and the banana pudding had the perfect balance of sweetness. There’s only about 8 stools inside so beware if you’re planning to dine in
Came for lunch. Took the spicy chicken sandwich. Mannn finally something gooood! Fries were a surprise!! Love the crisp of it.
Saw the line for free burgers on day one. Way too long, so I came back the next day, still busy but sooo worth the wait. They're running that place like the navy in there. Staff were super nice and smiley despite back to back busy-ness but it's so well organized and well staffed. The new restaurant is so nice to look at. You can tell the owners care. The Rosie burger was delicious, and omg. I cannot stop thinking about the banana pudding. Next time I'm I'll take the full pint and I'm excited to try some different menu items. Welcome to the neighborhood 💛🍔
Burger little too salty and overall not surprising but still very good and simple with clear and fresh quality ingredients which is a fairly good point in my opinion. That banana pudding on the otherhand juste flipped the hole experience. It quite litteraly left me speechless 😆 I m definetly going back to buy buckets of that pudding. its light creamy tasty and not too sweet. Service was great also and the establishement is clean and groovy.
The burger was fine, an average smash burger. Nice addition to the many spots in the city. 5 stars for the banana pudding taste wise. Fresh, creamy and tasty. Hefty price tag for a small @ $7.50, but would get it from time to time. Unfortunately, they ran out of onion rings, but willing to try again.
Curious to try, and for sure first day of operations wasn't the ideal. But overall good but I just pwrsonnaly find it's just another burger joint in the several we have in town. More of the same concept. Fries were good, Meat was good - a bit on the harder side, but tasty. Bread was delicious and not soggy so perfect. Onions rings delicious, and chicken burger tasted a lot to onions - I assume they fry in the same fryer. Milkshake ok, not my favorite. Definitely a good option for a smashed burger!
This is actually one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to try all the other burgers especially that chicken burger that really looked amazing! I was actually full off of one burger so I couldn’t try the chicken, next time! I can’t wait!! Probably today!!!
