Had dinner on a Monday evening and walked in without reservations. The place was empty with only a few people congregated on a corner of the bar. Ordered some cocktails which were decent and a few appetizers: $1 oysters were tiny of course but very fresh. Fried calamari was overcooked and chewy. We both had the asian salad with chicken, it offers a large portion and was rather good. Quite an extensive wine list, by the glass is rather expensive ($18.50 for an ordinary Sancerre). Overall this place his spot and we are not regulars to this area. It seemed like one of the better choices of restaurants around.

This was our first time going. -The menu is diverse and good for groups since not everyone likes the same things. -The prices are decent compared to other restaurants in the area that serve similar food. -The food was overall ok. I’m sure most of their stuff is frozen - the waiter made a comment about the Brussel sprouts being frozen since they were taking a while and accidentally made one with bacon (a friend who was vegetarian ordered no bacon). The dish was good though and the sauce and bacon were very good. -the calamari was thin rings like onion rings- also probably frozen as it was quite chewy but not bad. -the service is ok, the staff is nice. -parking is a bit annoying in this area on a weekend. -they DO NOT have top tier vodka like grey goose or belvedere - they have Ketel One, Smirnoff and 2 others. -their espresso martini though IS AMAZING. Best one I’ve tried to date. -the pasta I had (caceo et Pepe) was a bit bland, I had to add a lot of salt - I also asked to customize it and add me a burata on top (10$ for a very small one which I found a bit excessive). - the burger also taste frozen according to my husband. Nothing special for the price. It was ok.. -the lobster mushroom risotto tasted quite fishy IMO. My brother liked it though. -the filet mignon was excellent, nice piece cooked well and was delicious. The price was decent too for a large piece. -overall, it was ok. I would go back based on price, service and atmosphere. The food is ok too. I’ve had better but I’ve also had a lot worse. Note: my dish on the photos was customized. They ran out of the pasta that usually comes with the dish so I substituted for tagliatelle and added a burrata. I preferred it this way.
The food was mediocre and expensive for the level of quality. The server made three mistakes on our orders. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and clean.
Very good food but expensive.
Went a couple of times and every time food was consistent and delicious! Service A+
I have been here multiple times (8++), and as always a pleasurable experience. From the Manager, Patrick, greeting us at the door, and his professional & charismatic service to seat us (at the bar), the Ladies at the bar were the same. What really is impressive for me is the vibe, warm setting, great music playing (not too loud), full house of people of all ages, all taking that extra care in dressing sharp for the evening, singles, couples, groups....as always a memorable experience and yes of course I will be back. Oh and for the Sports fans, they do have a LARGE screen in the bar area, playing the main event of the day (no volume). Thank you once again Team Vertigo
The server was nice, and the food was done quickly. The food was not very good. The burger was okay. Not great.
Lunch for two at Vertigo was great. Our server introduced himself and was very helpful. We started with delicious drinks. We placed our orders fairly quickly. The food came next and we were ready to eat. Unfortunately the pepper pasta I had ordered was too spicy and I wasn’t enjoying the taste. Our server offered me a new meal and I ordered the burger. I liked the burger a lot.
Made a reservation for a specific time for dining room. They had a stool table in the corner left nowhere near the dinning room. The blonde teenager at the door said we should have specified. We did. The dining room at the particular time. Useless. What a waste of time. I can only imagine the rest of their quality of service.
The filet mignon was well done when I ask for Medium rare, I asked for a lobster tail on the side, got shrimps instead, the waiter apologized and we were compensated with a free dessert, the chicken piri piri was ordinary, it was not crispy rôtisserie as described on the menu, the brocoli was grilled and not cooked enough, it was hard and raw. It was on new years day and we were expecting a better meal. The oysters as appetizers were great though, very fresh
The server is nice but the service isn't very good. We waited for our order for an 1 hour.. the salad, the calamari were good. The risotto isn't cooked well with no taste
gets loud when trying to converse but overall great food and server was terrifi
Very pleasant dinner
Great experience! The food was really good, their cocktails were amazing, and the service was top-notch. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth visiting!
Excellent food. Everything was delicious. The service was great. Music was a tad too loud and it was a little bit pricey but we had a great experience overall.
Friendly place
The bone marrow poutine was excellent. Service pretty fast and atmosphere was nice.
