We dined here for Valentine’s Day which was extremely overbooked! The food was quite decent, but our appetizers were cold which was a soup. The set menu missed a little diversity and overall the service was subpar due to overbooking reservations. For a 7:15PM reservation, we were seated at 7:45PM, and only got our second course around 9:30PM, leaving the restaurant at 11:00PM. There were way too many patrons for the amount of staff working and no one seemed to care…

Some of the best Indian food I've had. So much so, that in the week I was in Montreal, I had this place twice. Things I tried that were amazing, in my opinion: Lamb Rogan Josh, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and the garlic naan. This was a highlight of my first time in Montreal and I would definitely visit again if I'm there again!

We visited Véranda for Valentine’s Day and, while the atmosphere was nice, our experience was impacted by timing issues. We had a reservation for 6:15 PM but weren’t seated until around 7 PM, and we left the restaurant at 9:30 PM. The food itself was decent, but the long wait between courses made it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, the soup we received was a bit cold and would have been much better served hot. We understand that Valentine’s Day is busy, but reservations and pacing are ultimately the restaurant’s responsibility.

We celebrated valentine’s day here. Our reservation was at 6 and we only got seated at the bar around 6:40. We then got moved to a table around 7. The tables were cutely decorated for valentines but the service was horrible. We waited until 8 to receive water and to order. We received our soup around 8:30, and entres around 9:00. After waiting and being patient, we grew annoyed. The waitress offered us a free soda to make up for the long wait. It was appreciated but definitely not enough compensation considering we only received our meal around 9:45 (almost 4 HOURS after our reservation)! We honestly should have left. This is the WORST experience I have ever had, and the service was truly unsatisfactory. However, the food was amazing, very flavourful and the presentation was gorgeous. Really unfortunate and disappointing that we won’t be back.

Food was good and so was the service however atmosphere not so good, music was loud so people have talk to hear the other across the table. One more minus was tiny tables squeezed in the back close kitchen, bathroom and storeroom/pantry was not comfortable at all due to traffic

Valentine’s Day and we waited 2 hours before we got our main course. Also paid 69$ +tip+tax per person for food that was good, but definitely not that good. I understand that today may have been busy. The waiters and waitresses were moving fast. However, if a by-reservation restaurant can’t plan ahead for a rush and end up having multiple people leave before the meal set is done, then clearly whoever’s in charge of that needs to reevaluate. I also did not receive any warning from our waitress that it would take two and a half hours to leave the restaurant. Mind you, this is a meal set so leaving early isn’t really an option. The cherry on top was my water staying unfilled for half the meal.

Soo delicious! The garlic naan was fresh and had the perfect texture. The tikka masala was some of the best I've had, not to mention the ambience of this restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Came here for my Birthday dinner with my girlfriend and everything was amazing , at first we were not able to contact them but even after 9 we got a reservation. The Place is beautiful with perfect lighting. Service was quick, we ordered beers, tandoori shrimp, malai tikka, lamb rogan josh and naan. Food was as expected, very pleasing, perfectly spiced according to our preference. Evening spent well.

Really enjoyed the food and the fine-dining ambiance. The restaurant is big and well laid out. However, the menu—especially the starters—is limited, and there’s no paneer tikka. When we asked for spicy food, they just added a lot of black pepper, which made the dish extremely spicy, but not in the traditional Indian way

Mohit and Lina truly made our visit special! From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, setting the tone for a great experience. Lina took amazing care of us throughout the meal, and despite saying she doesn’t like sweets, she was easily the sweetest part of the night with her warmth and positive energy! Huge appreciation to Mohit as well for going above and beyond by bringing us extra garlic naan even as they were closing. That level of hospitality really means a lot. The butter chicken was excellent, the garlic naan was fresh and flavorful, and the mango lassis were perfect. Shoutout as well to Shubham and the rest of the team for creating such a welcoming atmosphere. This is a place run by people who truly care, and it shows. Looking forward to coming back again!

Verandah is a beautiful restaurant with an outstanding atmosphere and truly top-notch service. The staff is attentive, polite, and professional, and the ambience is elegant and relaxing—definitely one of the highlights of the experience. The food is good overall, but it feels more blended and toned down compared to traditional Indian cuisine. The dishes lack the bold, authentic masala flavors one would normally expect from Indian food. If the restaurant advertised itself as Indo-Western or fusion cuisine, this approach would make more sense and set the right expectations. That said, the quality, presentation, and consistency are still solid, which is why I’d rate the food 4 stars. For atmosphere and service, however, it’s an easy 5 stars. A great place for a refined dining experience—especially if you enjoy milder, modern interpretations of Indian flavors.

They were booked fully. They made room for us on a holiday and we had some amazing food and drink. I highly recommend this place. Really tasty drink. And amazing food.
