Ah Tonino, I’m very saddened to be writing this. Second day visiting Quebec with my boyfriend, wanted to treat him to a nice dinner as he’s from here and has talked about wanting to try this place. came on Wednesday, Oct 21. Everything was outstanding, it was such a memorable evening until the end. After my boyfriend and I finished dinner we checked the receipt and we realized they had actually charged us for 2 full pasta dishes instead of the 1 that the server had already confirmed he would split onto two plates for us, no extra charge. No problem. My boyfriend goes back in to get it sorted, they explained that in order to get reimbursed, they need to refund the entire amount (213.28$) they explained they will recharge the proper amount of the bill (155.80). Trusting them, we allowed the charge of 155.80 after they told him that the full refunded amount (213.28$) would surely be in my account it would only take about 30 minutes. Now it’s been almost a week, and I have not been reimbursed for any of it. So $406.18 has been taken from Tonino. Not super ideal to stress about a restaurant for the remaining time of my trip. After contacting them multiple times and getting assured that I will be paid by today (Monday) I still haven’t been paid at all. I leave back to Edmonton tomorrow and if this restaurant is all that they claim to be then refunding the entire amount would be fair considering how much of an issue this has been.
