The food has a very authentic Indian taste, full of rich flavors and fresh spices. The beverages are also very unique and refreshing, which makes the experience even better. The ambiance and service were great as well. I must say, everyone should try this place at least once!
What guests say about Restaurant Tabla
Restaurant Tabla seems to be highly appreciated for its tasty Indian cuisine, generous portions, and good value for money. Several customers highlight the tasteful decor, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly, attentive, and quick service. A few comments, however, mention that some dishes are less authentic or not spicy enough, and that one visit was considered a bit expensive for the taste.

What an amazing experience. The food here was absolutely awesome, and the pepper paneer is a must-try dish. Their exceptional customer service truly shines, as the staff is even willing to go beyond the set menu to accommodate you!
Perfect as usual. Order one of the special cocktail, pomegranate basil smash March 20th SPRING. DELICIOUS cook to perfection, great and most accomodating staff and owner. ___________ July 14. I had the most amazing dinner: Plateau tabla Tandoorie. DIVINE comes with rice and hot mint sauce __________<< July 9th.Comfort food and drink!. Had a specialty drink, pink with gin and the 10$ special tasty menu, I was sold. GREAT food, great service . ___________ July 03rd 2025 They have renovated the restaurant and changed the menu, all for the best. Today I had the butter chicken lunch special. It comes with samosa and something else fried, the main course and a desert. Nice little final touch. Yesterday I had Lamb Vindalo lunch special with the same sort of entrée and desert. White wine on both occasion and all served in French by the same good waiter. ______________________________________________ Good NEW owner, should lISTEN more to guests. All is GREAT. ______________________________ New ownership, and no more BYOB. Noticed a few changes on the menu and presentation of dishes. At least the old waiters throuhing food around and being very unwelcoming are gone. Poor internet quality. 4 times more expensive than in Little India, so I will probably go on Jean-Talon west next time for Indian food. __________________________________________________ They did up their game! I was so ready to be disappointed, as last time, a couple years ago, was a rather bad experience. I do agree with some of the reviews that mention dry chicken (breast) and not that tasty korma prep. To be honest it does deliver on what the menu says...not hot, mostly mild dish. The naan bread was top notch, as was the rice. As a nice surprise the fruit salad dessert was fresh and served with the meal. They should mention it. Mujtahid the waiter was attentive, precise and fast! The price is good in my opinion considering the central location in the Village AND it is a BYOB. Actually looking forward to go back! ধন্যবাদ
Excellent !!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Had the opportunity to do the set menu. $27 you get a 3 course meal. The interior design is very nice. Very peaceful not a lot of traffic which is surprising. Butter chicken is on the sweeter end. You can tell it’s designed for the clientele around the area. (Western palate)Not the most authentic butter chicken you’ll get. For the price you’re getting a good amount of food. The service was amazing! Server was super attentive. Granted there were only 3 tables seated around 8pm on a Thursday.
Talking about food, I’ll say that it was not tasty as it should be. They use lots of Tamarind, even in curries. They are targeting wide audience, and that’s why, indians mostly will not enjoy main appetizers — starters are also moderate. The reason why I will not go here again, is that it’s expensive, but not tasty at the same time.
Excellent traditional Indian cuisine. Food is amazingly delicious, atmosphere and decor is beautiful and intimate. Staff are welcoming and friendly. A bottle of wine is $35max and the prices are reasonable. If you’re in the Village area and looking for a place with authentic Indian cuisine and great prices, think about Tabla, you won’t be disappointed!
Delicate, complex chicken tikka masala done perfectly. Impeccable service and a chic atmosphere. One of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a long time.
Either végétarien or not, this is the indean place to come. We come come once per month and we love it. We are really good taken care of, the food is amazing and pice is reasonable. Come and share with us a really good taste of India in The Village!
My boyfriend and I loved it. It’s simply great for the price, we took the meat lover meal for two people and it was delicious, highly recommend!!
