My boyfriend and I love the food from Souvlaki! I have never had any less than a perfect meal in the numerous times I've visited. The portions are generous, always hot and delicious. (If I were to offer one piece of constructive criticism, it would be that the salad always goes soggy on the brochette plates, since it ends up underneath hot food.) it is a bring your own wine restaurant, too... Always a bonus!! The service from the waitresses is always excellent. The owner/manager is fairly present but doesn't seem to interact with the clients as much as the staff. The reason my rating for atmosphere is low is for a few reasons: the restaurant is VERY loud, which is exaggerated by the tables being way to close together. It makes it impossible to even have a conversation when the restaurant is full.... Very unpleasant, I'm afraid. It's definitely a popular spot, but cramming so many tables in as they have leads to an unpleasant experiences for clients. Redesigning the layout so that there is some sound Insulation, maybe via booths that block some of the conversations, would be a very good move on the part of the restaurant. Or perhaps finding a larger locale which offers adequate space for the the demand.
