Our last night in beautiful Downtown Montreal and our final dining stop was Sol y Mar a warm family run business with numerous years in the culinary field which is very evident! Well we definitely weren't expecting to be blown away with the most exquisite Mediterranean Portuguese Cuisine your senses will experience! Our romantic date night began with the most charming movie-like window view spot seating! Our server David made our evening extra memorable. His professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail was extraordinary. Every dish we ate was prepared so beautifully with the highest quality to flavor and presentation! Exquisite, full of flavor & cooked to perfection! We have not had a meal like this in along time! So glad we stumbled across this amazing place in the cutest neighborhood with top notch food and excellent staff. The value & pricing was phenomenal for a feast like this! David we won't ever forget you & please save us our spot! We will be returning happily!! God Bless this family & small business for years to come!🙏

I'm editing my review. After coming back a couple of times, I've noticed several improvements. The quality of the plates has improved, especially the ones based on seafood. Ceviche is always good and Pisco Sour is the best I've tried in a very long time. Propably the most common plates are not so good (I don't like Jalea or Lomo Saltado here) but other plates are delicious (like Chupe, Pariguela). The desserts have also improved, I recommend the picarones. The prices are still a little high, but they're similar to other Peruvian restaurants in Montreal.

You guys, this place felt like a first kiss omg. It is so refreshing to find a restaurante that’s loyal to latino cuisine in Montreal, the cebiche was amazing, the lomo was tender, and I was very feliz. Gracias.
