I have given allot of five star reviews, but when I say that this restaurant is top notch im anything they serve, I mean it. I took a miso soup, fried tampoura and veggies and chicken bites and an eel poke bowl and some foie gras salmon sushi. Everything was super delicious and not heavy on the oil. The waiter was also super helpful so props to him. Definitely worth trying

I think this is the first time I’ve ever given a restaurant 5 stars! I genuinely think this is the best sushi restaurant on the South Shore. A couple of girlfriends and I went there to celebrate a birthday, and we had such a great night. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The sushi is very fresh and for this quality of food i think the price is very decent. Our waiter, John Alexander, was so great that I actually took the time to ask for his name because I wanted to give him a special shout-out! Thank you, John Alexander! You really made our evening so enjoyable. 😊

It’s real good sushi, but hoped that omakase had more dishes and had too many wait times in between services, even though there were like five or six chefs. Fried dishes were good, rice was a bit less texture.

Hands down the best Sushi in the South Shore. I travel to Japan each summer and the sashimi here is similar in style. They also know fish 🐟 - they have cuts other shops don't have. The price is fair and they have daily specials if you eat there.The staff are also extremely nice and generous!

Amazing food! Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while! Most definitely worth trying if it isn’t too far from you! Staff was also super generous! The hostess was extremely kind im pretty sure her name was Cameron.

We’ve been customers for many years, and unfortunately the decline in both food quality and service has become hard to ignore. We gave multiple chances, hoping things would improve, but our recent experiences have been disappointing. The latest order was especially surprising. Prosciutto served with sushi? That’s not something we expected. If you like authentic sushi, this is not the place.

Really enjoyed my experience at Shoji Sushi. The sushi was fresh, balanced, and nicely prepared without drowning everything in heavy sauces. Fish quality stood out right away, and the portions were satisfying for the price. It’s a smaller place, but that actually adds to the cozy and authentic atmosphere, making the experience feel more personal and relaxed. Service was attentive and efficient, and overall the experience felt genuine compared to many overly trendy sushi spots lately.

Must be one of the best sushi restaurants in the Greater Montreal area. Food is perfect, service is perfect. The place is a little small but still very nice. Their lunch menu is super affordable and there are many delicious options. They also have a good selection of alcoholic drinks.

I went during the week for lunch with my dad. The quality of the fish was good. There was one roll that I really didn’t like and made me feel a bit sick. Everything else was ok. I really liked their bowl best. I would say that if you are nearby and want to appease the sushi craving, this is ok. But nothing mind blowing.

Shoji Sushi is easily one of the best sushi experiences on the South Shore. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is not your typical sushi spot. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and relaxed, and the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed or forced. The quality of the fish is where they really stand out. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and carefully prepared. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The nigiri was especially impressive — simple, clean, and executed perfectly. Presentation is also on point. Every plate looks refined and intentional, which adds to the overall experience. Yes, it’s on the higher-end side, but it’s absolutely worth it if you’re looking for quality over quantity and a more elevated sushi experience. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to and recommending.

Amazing staff, super kind and charismatic. Went with my wife and had an amazing meal. The food isn't cheap but I would say the prices were ostentatious. We are both avid sushi eater this was amazing quality like ive never had before, the fish had 0 fishy after taste ( which I am very sensitive to) the one thing is the seating for half the restaurant, are these awkwardly tall chairs and tables that weren't comfortable especially since youre sititng there abit longer than an AYCE spot. Next time I would ask on my reservation for regular seating.

Takeout review : We had high expectations because this place was recommended by a colleague. We ordered a few rolls that caught our attention, ranging from expensive to basic makis. Unfortunately we were let down as they tasted predominantly like the fillers. Rice was not sushi grade, lacked texture and not well seasoned. Very mediocre sushi for the price point, we will not return.
