We had a really great experience at Shamdooni! The food and atmosphere were amazing, and our server Nikafarid was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the whole time. She made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. Definitely recommend this place and we’ll be coming back!

In this restaurant, what surprised me the most was that the chelo kebab was served with tomato paste. I really wish they had mentioned this when taking the order, because I don’t think anyone expects or is used to eating chelo kebab with tomato paste. However, the staff member who took the order was very polite and had a good attitude.

We came from Toronto for the Montreal GP and after extremely long day we wanted a good restaurant, Shamdooni was the first one to appear in the search results with a great reviews and they did not disappoint. Everything was extremely good. Thank you so much for the delicious food and great service.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we had a great experience. The food quality was excellent, and the taste reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking and my childhood.😍❤️ We tried the tahdig, Akbar Joojeh, and koobideh, and everything was amazing. The customer service was also excellent. The restaurant’s atmosphere could be a little more beautiful and inviting, but overall, we really enjoyed our experience. We will definitely come back.

I have been ordering Persian food from this restaurant for quite a while now, but I finally decided to visit them in person to try their food. Shamdooni Restaurant is a good place to hang out and eat Persian food if you miss it. The portions of food are appropriate, and they have freshly baked bread that reminds you of Iran. A great place to dine out if you miss Persian food!

Tonight I ordered from this restaurant and honestly it was one of the best Persian food experiences I’ve had in Montreal. The food was high quality, fresh, and the portions were very good. Everything arrived perfectly hot and fresh 😍 It truly tasted homemade, just like authentic Persian mom-style cooking. Everything was delicious and made with care. Thank you so much — I’ll definitely order again ❤️

They brought hot, fresh Iranian bread and mast-o-musir as a welcome dish, which was awesome. We tried ash reshteh, dolmeh, and kuku sabzi — all of them were delicious, just as we expected. The main dish, koobideh, was good, but the kalam polo was a bit too greasy. Overall, everything was perfect, and if I come back to Montreal, I would definitely love to try it again.

Quality is good, and price/portion ratio is totally reasonable if not low. I like what they have done to decorate the place, although there are room for improvement and they’re doing so as they go on. I liked the service that was provided by Shahin. He was working alone in the salon and helping out in the kitchen and yet managed to take care of all the customers with care and attention. Overalls we would definitely be back to try their other dishes.

We went to this restaurant for breakfast - the service was really good and quick. Really kind and nice staff. Kale pache was tasty and well cooked but Halim was average. Quiet and cozy environment

Super flavorful iranian food! Been wanting to try iranian food for a while in montreal, and it did not miss. Enjoyed it so much. The meat was so delicate and the rice was just a fusion of taste.
