Sooooo yummy 😋 Very delicious . Persian home made food remind me of my mom's food 😋 ☺️ I highly recommend it 👌 👍
The food was delicious and most importantly fresh. I totally recommend.
Its good
I was really disappointed with the tahchin I ordered. It was extremely dry, tasted like it had been sitting around for a long time, and honestly didn’t feel fresh at all. I had much higher expectations from this restaurant!! As someone who has tried tahchin in many different places, I can confidently say this was the lowest quality version I’ve ever had. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to freshness and quality, because this experience was far from what I expected.
You should try it 😋
Great food and excellent customer service. If you want to try homemade Persian food, this is the place!
It was a great restaurant with great service , specially the high quality saffron rice
Please work on food
I’ve been to this restaurant twice. Overall, the food is decent. One time we had ice cream, and it was really delicious and flavorful. The atmosphere is also Iranian-style, which makes it interesting.
Good food, correct price I really hope the quality stays the same ,
New Persian restaurant in downtown Montréal with very authentic, homemade-style dishes. For brunch, they offer “Kale Pache,” the famous Iranian sheep’s head dish, very fresh and tasty, but it sells out quickly, so it’s best to reserve in advance. I also tried “Baghali Polo Mahiche” (rice with lamb shank). It was incredibly delicious, the meat was so juicy it just melted in my mouth. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable, but the food quality more than makes up for it. Definitely worth a visit, this is my new go-to spot for Iranian cuisine!
I loved the celery stew, but to be honest the crispy rice was just too oily I had to remove the top. Also I thought the beef portion was a bit small.
Such a wonderful place for dinner. The food is some of the best Persian food I've ever had. They even have things that I've never tried before, like Kalam Polow. It's such a cozy and inviting atmosphere and the music is amazing too. Everyone should go there at some point.
This was the best Iranian restaurant that I have ever been to anywhere, and I am so excited to come back the next time I am in Montréal. Everything we ordered was phenomenal from the Kalam Polo, to the Kookoo Sabzi Wrap, Ash Reshteh, and Ash Dooq. I also liked their Torshi. If I lived here I would be here every single week!
While I gave this place a 5 star review, I still wanted to share a few more thoughts. Overall, the quality of the food was very good for the price. We went as a group and ordered tahchin, baghali polo with lamb shank, karafs stew, and zeytoon parvarde. I really loved the chicken tahchin. It came with a small bowl of chicken broth that you could pour over the rice, which made it even more flavorful. The chicken was well seasoned and tasted great. The presentation was also beautiful, topped with fried almonds and barberries. The lamb shank was well seasoned too, but the taste was just average in my opinion. I have had better elsewhere. The karafs stew was well cooked and nicely thick and settled, but it had a seasoning, maybe a hint of cinnamon, that I did not enjoy as much. That is just my personal preference though. The ash e dough was delicious and tasted exactly how it should. Unfortunately, the zeytoon parvarde was not my favorite as it had a slightly bitter taste.
I tried several dishes from the restaurant, and all of them were fresh, high-quality, and had a very delicious taste.
Very nice staff and super delicious Persian style food. I like the vibe and enjoyed being there.

I can confidently say that Shamdini is one of the best Persian restaurants I’ve experienced—and I say this as a Persian myself. The food is truly authentic and absolutely delicious. Every dish is rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. From the quality of the ingredients to the way the food is beautifully presented, everything feels thoughtful and refined. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What I really appreciate is the variety. Whether you’re vegetarian or a meat lover, there are plenty of options to choose from, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently excellent. The restaurant is also very clean, well-organized, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for real, authentic Persian cuisine that’s actually “Persian-approved,” this is the place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — completely well-deserved.
I’m really disappointed with the service. It seems like there’s only one person handling everything; taking orders, managing payments, and seating customers at the same time. My friend and I had to wait about 20 minutes just for someone to take our order. The service throughout the meal was very slow, and some items were either delayed or completely forgotten. This really affected our overall experience and I hope management takes this into consideration in the future.
The best Persian restaurant in Montreal
A restaurant that brings the best of homemade Iranian cuisine to Montreal’s food scene, affordable, high-quality, with generous portions, and always tasty and fresh. The presentation is beautiful; what they create is truly art on every plate.
We waited for one hour to get our food in the restaurant it is awful in management. Not recommended if you value your time.....
