I had a lovely experience enjoying the well-crafted and flavourful food. The owner and their family took time out of their busy day to personally chat with us, which made the visit even more special. Thank you for the warm hospitality and the great recommendations throughout Sherbrooke — they truly enhanced our time here!

My wife and I have been coming here for the buffet for a few years and it is always a pleasant experience. The food is top notch and the salad bar is clean. We very much appreciate the opportunity to try new cuisine and have continued to come back occasionally since and it has not disappointed!

We stopped by at this resturant thinking we could relish some Indian food as there aren’t very many in Sherbrooke. There was buffet at that time so we asked if we could order off the menu as the price per person was highly overpriced in comparison to the terrible food options and quality we could see from the buffet . The attendant was extremely rude and told us there were been extra wait for food if chose to do that as the cook would prioritize buffet over serving us. We wouldn’t mind that however he was extremely polite t trying to sell us into going for overpriced buffet option. After looking at other reviews from Indians who know what Indian food looks and tastes like, I’m glad we didn’t waste our hard earned money and instead had Wonderful meal at another authentic quality Indian dine in. Don’t fall for the good here as just by the looks of it, it’s not what Indians consider close to Indianess let alone authentic.

Worst restaurant and extremely rude service. I’m Indian and I could see the food and price they are charging for it is not at all worth. I believe mostly their customers are non-Indian and the restaurant people are for sure taking advantage of it. $42 for buffet? Never heard before, even the best 5 star restaurant won’t charge this much. Please think twice before going there.

From Tara:I am East Indian and the fine cuisine at Shalimar can only be described as heaven on earth;I savored a delicious blend of aromatic spices in my gosht biryani and matar paneer.The lamb samosa was also mouthwatering and very tasty.My meal was cooked perfectly,elegant in flavour and emotionally satisfying to the finish! The staff aim to please.
