Very good Chinese restaurant with lots of delicious options, I would recommend the clay pot rice with spicy beef. The menu is also helpful as there are symbols next to each item, making it easy to tell whether the food is spicy or if it has certain ingredients like peanuts, beef, or chicken.

I’ve been here several times and everything has been good overall. However, I recently tried their new dish, the coconut chicken, and it was quite disappointing. The flavor was pretty bland, and more importantly, the price is unreasonable. It’s just a very small coconut bowl with about four pieces of chicken, yet it costs $19. Definitely not worth the price.
Food was cold, not tasty and service was slow and bad
The Dan Dan noodles were awesome, perfect texture and the sauce they used was great.! Service was excellent… We were talking to the owner ( I’m guessing or manager ) apparently, they make their sauces in house, honestly, they should bottle them and sell them!
Excellent! Came here for a second time and consistency is key. Quality food and very delicious. I enjoyed the clay pot rice with the crispy edges as well as the mini wonton soup.
The claypot rice here is so delicious ! The people are also very nice. Definitely recommend !
N7 beef noodles were great
Really really nice place, fancy dining but the price is really reasonable! I went here have a date with my boyfriend and we both so happy! The Hainanese chicken tastes really good and my roast meat rice is delicious too! Good place for family, friends or date night!
Very good food, super fast service 👌 overall very good place
Our server Daniel was very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations! Food was delicious too, must try the claypot rice!
Daniel was so hospitable ! And food was great!

I get food from here all the time Great dumplings and great service
Great experience - must try the Dan Dan noodles ! Our waiter was super friendly... thank you and will be back !
Excellent!
Delicious food and very warm and friendly service! We got the chili wontons, cold chicken, steamed Chinese broccoli, Cantonese wonton soup, and the clear beef broth noodle soup. All excellent! Look forward to returning here again.
This place reminds me of home every time I visit. The food is authentically Cantonese and full of flavor. I love the hainan chicken rice and their noodles. The service is really friendly and welcoming. 100% recommended.
LOVE the pork intestine soup!!!! So clean and so full of flavor even has just the right amount of spice and sesame.
Great vegetarian dishes and friendly service! Noodles were delicious and chewy (in a good way).
Amazing noodles !!! Will come back
Incredible restaurant. They make the dumplings right where we can see them. Everything tastes like home. I’d come back any day!
One of the very few restaurants in Montreal that have Hainan chicken and it's very delicious. The shrimp wonton soup and claypot rice are wonderful as well. It's a hidden gem in Montreal and I'll be coming back for sure.
I feel sorry to rate 2/5 because Pinophyta has unique items, the service is so great, but the food really disappoints. This is the epitome of just because you are different, high quality, and put in a great effort it does not make you good. First, if you are going to serve COLD blanched flavourless chicken (poulet salivant) then please clarify so. The fridge-cold chicken 🐔❄️ was unexpected and unpleasant. Secondly, the wonton soup hits you with a disappointing broth smell. Strange flavour and taste, and the meat inside the wonton not properly cooked, or wrong flavour idk (pork or beef + shrimp). It's weird bc it feels like they did put in a great deal of effort. I also found the noodles underwhelming, but still high quality, not cheap. Good peanut butter dumplings 🥟 and the service from the dark haired lady (early 20s maybe) with glasses very polite and respectful. Maybe the food is really authentically Chinese and my taste buds have adapted to Chinese-Canadian expectations too much. Until then, this place is only 2/5 for me, but I find it great others like it so much the average goes to 4.8/5, provided the reviews are authentic. Worth a try, but expect very different and potentially unpleasant. Go if you want an unexpected experience while accepting the risk of positive or negative.
Delicious food that had a bit of a kick!
Food was good. Homemade noodles were delicious. Potato salad had a nice kick of spice. Sadly, couldn’t try the famous clay pot rice because of a nut allergy. Staff is super kind and attentive.
