Had dinner at Moonstar Restaurant today, and everything was spot on! The taste and vibe were purely perfect. If you’re craving authentic, pure desi homemade-style delicious food, this is hands down the place to go. You can truly taste the love and care in every bite—it felt just like a comforting meal at home! The service was equally amazing (10/10)—super kind, attentive, and caring staff who make you feel so welcomed. Highly recommended to anyone looking for incredible food and genuine hospitality. One of the best places to have Bangladeshi food in Montreal. Tried the Chicken Roast Polao and Tehari, food was sooo good!! Had the authentic Deshi taste.

We’re not from Montreal, just travelling through and stopped here for some Bangladeshi food after seeing so many good reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The restaurant was nearly empty, but we waited 10–15 minutes just to get a table cleaned, then another 10 minutes to order. Even after ordering, the food came very slowly and separately. We ordered rice with 3–4 curries, but they brought one curry at a time, making us wait another 10 minutes between them. The food itself was below average. To make things worse, we found a hair in the extra rice we ordered. The most concerning part was being offered a 15% discount at the end in exchange for leaving a positive Google review. Now I understand why there are so many positive reviews. If you have plenty of time and don’t mind the 15% review discount, go ahead. Otherwise, I’d suggest trying somewhere else.

Had a good experience at Restaurant Moonstar and tried quite a few Bangladeshi dishes. The Beef Tehari was tasty, although a little oily for my taste. Chicken Tandoori with naan and salad was good, and the Beef Seekh Kabab was definitely one of my favourites. The shak was also really good and had a nice deshi taste. The Duck Curry wasn’t quite for me, and the Tengra fish was just okay. The ambience is pretty simple, but overall the food was good and we enjoyed our meal. A solid spot for Bangladeshi food. Overall, 4.5/5 from me! 🇧🇩

Worst food ever. I don't know how they are able to run their business with this poor quality of food and service. Don't become fool just by reading these fake reviews, I am pretty sure these reviews actually written by the owner and his whole family who live 24/7 in this restaurant.
