15 years of eating at mon nan and counting. A montreal classic with the best chinese food, their salt and pepper chicken is the BEST chicken I’ve ever had. If you’re headed out for chinese food, mon nan is a must stop!

Honestly they’re so many things to say, I saw the reviews thinking it would be amazing since we were visiting and wanted something good. Unfortunately, it was completely something else….. Spent 120$ and still have regrets. It felt like they just wanted to give something so it’s complete. The meat was duck and chicken cold - the beef general tao was worse, it didn’t have any beef and you could feel it while eating it- the fried rice and dumpling were bland. Honestly, you better go to a buffet for better food. I had to wait for them to service me because they taught I was “the uber eats guy”. And they don’t care about you nor treat you well- you’re just another sale. Don’t let the images fool you.

Ordered the general tao chicken for take out, it’s a little more pricey than most places but definitely worth it, big chunks of meat and great portion size. Was delicious and will be ordering again

As prices everywhere inflate, "cheap Chinese food" is no longer a concept. Elevate! Unless you have low standards & expectations, don't eat here. This establishment has no redeeming factors. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The service is not great. The food is awful. The interior leaves much to be desired and. Considering all that, the prices should be lower. Here is a breakdown of the abysmal dinner we just had here. 1) Sake was brought warm in a tea kettle. When I specified that I wanted it cold, the woman said No No, everyone drinks it hot, so I just dealt with it. She poured me a glass and held it in her hands right where I had to put my lips to drink it. Zero hygiene. Upon closer inspection, they literally took the sake carafe and put it in a tea kettle that already had tea inside. Unreal. 2. Pea size amount of pork in the pork dumplings with “peanut butter“ slime. Peking Pork was the only ting I'd suggest. Of the 6 Crispy duck breast pieces only 2 were edible. The Pork, BBQ Pork and chicken in the Crispy noodle dish were unidentifiable. Just random white meat in slime. Every dish that had a sauce just looked like slime. I’m still belching. 3. Hair in my food that I just ignored because I didn’t want to deal with the inattentive wait staff, most of whom could not speak English nor French. 4. The table top was Glass above a dirty white table cloth. 5. Chefs walking in and out of kitchen. One scratched his groin. The pants of the other were under his butt every time he came out. 6. This was a terrible experience and still close to $120 for 2 people. The best part of the meal was when we left.

The service lady was soooooo rude, threw the bills at my friend and it was enough to say i’d never go back. Quality of food has changed a lot and won’t recommand. Sorry but it was the worst experience in a chinese restaurant. 0/10

Love this place. Been here twice ..first time got the sesame beef with chicken fried rice; delicious. Second time went with my bf and we had peanut butter pork dumplings and the spicy honey beef which were good, and we got the short beef ribs which we didn’t like bc of the lack of meat it had too much fat.
