My mom, grandma and I had business in town and we felt like eating basic food with a daily menu. Sure enough, this place had a daily menu and the special for the day was General Tao chicken with a soup and dessert, which we took along with the new Autumn smoothie since it sounded good The beef and rice soup was only beef broth with a sprinkle of rice, so that was pretty disappointing and to get a lil' bit ahead, the dessert was decent but clearly commercial.. so why the four stars? The main dish and the smoothie were delicious. The General Tao came with a salad, and both the chicken and the salad dressing tasted of oranges which, while that's not at all what General Tao usually tastes like, was surprisingly great. Plus the breading was soft and moist, which allowed the also really good rice to really stick to it As for the smoothie, it wasn't too sweet and was blended to perfection, with no chunks at all, really refreshing The biggest downside was that it took a long time to initially get served and get our check at the end but considering the restaurant was packed full (sometimes with a waiting line) from beginning to end, that's understandable, and the waitresses were always pleasant and in a good mood
