Fantastic food. Amazing presentation. Truly a culinary delight, particularly for foodies. Prob not a place to take children or picky eaters. Highly recommended for anyone who wants excellent food and service.

To set context, we are family that loves food. We enjoyed food from Michelin 3 star restaurants to street food cards all over the world. Some of our best experiences have been with Quebecois cuisine. This restaurant was one of our worst. To begin with, the wine list was put together by someone who clearly doesn't like wine and despises wine drinkers. Low quality, overpriced, and boring. Proceeding to food, the savory scones at the start of the meal were the best part. It went rapidly downhill from there. The flavor pairings were questionable. The chef appears to like local cheese that was featured prominently in multiple dishes. Unfortunately, that cheese has a highly astringent flavor, overwhelming whatever else it was paired with and making the duck appetizer taste like the meat was going bad. All dishes were overwhelmingly fatty and lacking vegetables. But they were plated in a very attractive manner. Potatoes au gratin tasted superb. The duck main course was oversalted to a heart attack level, while short rib lacked salt altogether, except, strangely on one edge of it. The mashed potatoes that came with short rib were room temperature which clashed badly with the meat. But that brings me to the service. The waitress, while very welcoming and genuinely trying to help (which is the reason for the second star), was not provided the training necessary for a restaurant at this price level. By the time the entire table got their food and the forks to actually eat it with, the temperature of the meat got closer to the potatoes, and the fat in it started to congeal. Despite multiple requests, that should not have to be necessary in the first place, I eventually had to get up and scavenge for a spoon that never accompanied the soup. The water was generously poured all over the tablecloth, although some of it made it into the glasses. At this price level, the overall experience was atrocious. That's "atroce" in French.

I am visiting MonteBello in Quebec and came across this restaurant. The menu has a bit of everything one can expect from French Gourmet Food. The taste is very pleasant to your palate and it will please your hunger!! Prices are reasonable for what you are getting! Service is excellent and friendly and courteous!! Ingredients are fresh and delicious!!! I am very pleased to be able to share my experience with you!! A huge thanks goes to the owner and chef who prepared such a delicious meal for me and my son and my son’s boyfriend!!!

The attention in Montebello tends to go to the large Fairmont hotel and resort located there, but Restaurant le Napoleon is the true gem of the area! Escape the crowds and enjoy an intimate dinner that will thrill your tastebuds and not break your bank account. My husband and I enjoyed the Six Serving Chef's choice dinner. Every bite was exquisite. The service was stellar and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. And do yourself a favor, add the wine pairing. We will be back!

We came for the 8-course New Year’s Eve meal. It was delicious!! It offered a well‑paced supper and each dish was accompanied by wine pairings that went with each dish nicely. The supper began with a tasty appetizer: 2 oysters, one raw and one cooked with an appley calvados flavour. The other courses were delicious too. The duck was particularly well prepared—tender, flavorful, and balanced by crispy chicken skin and mushrooms. For me, the wagyu beef was my favorite. The paired red wine was great with it. Throughout the evening, service was attentive, and the pacing wasn't rushed at all. Lots of time to enjoy the courses and chat in between. And I liked the idea of pre-dessert followed by dessert!!!
