10 out of 10! We did not have plans to come here but I was fascinated by seeing the kitchen from the street! I am so happy we stopped, service was excellent and the food was top notch. I will be stopping in on every trip to Quebec!
10/10!! Love the ambiance - very gorgeous and chic decor keeping with the nordic theme. We went with the tasting menu for dinner and it was incredible. I'm a picky eater so that says something. I did only do the 4 courses as I was nervous but my fiance did the 6 and enjoyed it all with the exception of one dish (foie gras), but that may just be personal taste. Everything was prepared so well with beautiful presentation - works of art. The standout to me was the amuse bouche and the dessert (I have a sweet tooth), but it was just so unique and yummy. Our waiter Julien, was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful!! I only know a little French so he helped us order in English. The space is on the smaller side and is on the second floor. There are à la carte options as well - it’s expensive but worth it to me for a fun and nice splurge while on vacation!
Had their lunch tasting menu with non alcoholic pairing. Such a well thought out menu. Beautiful way to communicate a story along with their drinks (the dessert was the best I had during my entire trip). Excellent service too. Also, tried a few items from their $5 a plate lunch menu. It has to be best lunch deal I've ever seen. Even at that price, they maintain their fine dining quality with generous portions.
We spent several evenings of our vacation in Le Clan. We discovered it through a gourmet tour and went back later. We spent a couple lovely evenings having dinner in the speakeasy bar at the back. It was charming, the food and drink were fantastic and all the service staff were very attentive and informative. The food is local and they have an interesting video about the chef and his love of local food and how it is prepared.
My husband and I went here for lunch and everything was perfect. We had the set menu the chef had prepared and it was lovely and the service impeccable. We highly recommend those restaurant!
I dined on Dec 29 by myself and had the best time. The Maître d’ anticipated my preferred seating instead of the one I booked. The tasting menu had an excellent flow. All the dishes were beautifully presented and explained. They were scrumptious, ingredients worked well together and everything was well balanced. I appreciate the attention to detail and the intention of showcasing local ingredients and québécoise cuisine. The server, Maryanne, (sp?) assigned to my table was very lovely. She is attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and gave great suggestions. I will go again the next time I visit Quebec City.
If you are in the fence... Do it. We had the four course tasting menu and it was one of the best meals we have had in the last decade. 10/10
Tasting menu of the wild.
Le Clan is unlike any restaurant we have ever experienced. Each of the chef-designated courses was an odyssey— a surprising journey to a new corner of Quebec that paid genuine homage to the hard working “clan members” of that culinary sector yet interpreted through the eyes of a visionary chef, whose ingredients and pairings were totally creative and innovative while somehow staying profoundly true to the spirit and pallet of the seashore, the forest, the farm… It’s the only restaurant where I have burst out laughing after the first bite of a course (dessert, in this case) because it was so unexpected, innovative and astonishing. We spent three hours at our table— with our server encouraging us to “take a break” if we so desired. Also, as non drinkers, they had the option of specially crafted mocktails paired with each course. Five stars, no notes. Leave your expectations at the door and go to this restaurant before you die.
Perfect bunch, I really like the concept of small dishes it was the perfect pairing, really nice spot and good service
Beautiful restaurant. Love the deco! Dishes were all good but nothing seems to stand out. No less, it was a very nice experience!
We had a wonderful experience at Le Clan. The food was exceptional, I felt the pricing was very reasonable for the food and services that we received and I would definitely eat at this restaurant again. Michael
Holidaying in Quebec for Christmas, my family and I chose to have our Christmas Dinner here. It was special from start to finish. The friendliness of the staff and knowledge of all who served us was impeccable. The menu was inventive and delicious and the decor was superb. Don't hesitate to experience this gem.
We loved our Christmas lunch. The atmosphere was festive and relaxed, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We loved the duck leg and the steak. All the dishes were delicious. This was a wonderful way to celebrate our stay in Quebec!
Wonderful atmosphere and we'll appointed. They have an extensive wine list; however, we enjoyed some very nice cocktails. They had a set menu with some superb dishes and lots of variety. The dishes were beautifully presented and explained. I left full and very happy with the meal and service. I can't wait to go back.
Food was top notch. We had the tasting menu and every course was innovative and beautifully crafted. Our table was very central which resulted in wait staff bumping into our seats occasionally. Otherwise it was an excellent experience.
An unforgettable dining experience at Le Clan. We chose the tasting menu with wine pairing, and from start to finish it was absolutely fantastic. Each course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully composed, and bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by the wine selections. It’s easy to understand why Le Clan holds a Michelin star. The precision, creativity, and balance in every dish reflect a chef and team who work seamlessly together. The service was polished yet warm, making the entire evening feel refined without being pretentious. This was more than just dinner, it was a true culinary journey. Le Clan delivers an exceptional experience that lives up to its reputation, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for world-class dining.
Managed a last min lunch on new year's eve (since we couldnt get a reservation for dinner). We loved the cafe de la praix lunch options as we got to sample quality food at affordable cad5 per dish. Impeccable service. We will be back.. to beautiful Quebec & Le Clan !
tasting menu is awesome! flavor is very well balanced.
Delicious and inventive
The service was quick. A nice variety of options for either a full three course meal or just tapas.
