Excellent food with very nice presentation, and good wine pairings as well. We came in with no reservation and had to sit at the bar, but it was still a good experience. The staff were very nice, and the bartender seemed very knowledgeable about the available wines.

I did get a dish that was not ready cooked and the restaurant agreed, however I did get no compensation for it. They asked if I wanted something else and we ordered a dessert and coffee. We had to pay for all of it an no compensation. Very disappointing. The rest of the food was good but it was very impolite to let us pay for everything. I do not recommend this restaurant!

We’re in Montreal from St Louis, MO in the US. We found Le Carre by chance. What a great restaurant! Absolutely loved everything about it! Great menu, great service, great cocktails and outstanding freshly made dishes! The Duck Confit Pasta is one of the best, if not the best, pasta I’ve ever had. The duck and pasta were cooked perfectly. My husband had the Crab Ravioli, also very delicious. For dessert, the waiter recommended the Crispy Maple Squares, which were incredible! So glad we found the restaurant. We hope to come back to Montreal soon so that we can dine with them again!

Had a fantastic hanger steak with vegetables and fries followed by brownies and a coffee for dinner after a coference at the Fairmont. Great plating and everything was so well considered. Excellent service. Treated like a king the moment I walked in. Will definitely visit again next time I am in Montreal.

I walked in off the street and got a seat at the bar. Everyone was super nice and made great recommendations. Bartender made a awesome Canadian old fashioned. The bread was good and the butter has cayenne mixed in perhaps, yum! Tomato and burrata appetizer so good. Sea bass was perfect and finished with the maple syrup dessert, I don't exactly know what it was but it was delicious. Highly recommend!

My experience here was quite enjoyable. I liked the comfortable surroundings and the clean, well-maintained environment. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the service was smooth. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and made the visit pleasant and relaxing.

Tucked off the lobby of a hotel but super moody inside and the plates were 🔥. Sadly back to the lack luster food scene in Charlotte we go.

The food was excellent. We had the grilled Romaine chicken salad and the hanger steak. The steak was served with roasted vegetables and fries. The service was attentive without being obsequious. A very good experience. The only negative was that it was quite noisy and difficult to converse. The tables on either side of us were rather loud, so that was probably the issue. We would definitely return and have recommended it to others.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. We both ordered the grilled hanger steak with chimichurri-marinated herbs, vegetables, and fries, and it did not disappoint. The steaks were cooked to perfection—one medium-rare and one medium—and the portions were extremely generous. Everything was fresh, beautifully seasoned, and absolutely delicious. This place is truly a gem in a city filled with incredible restaurants. If you’re downtown, it’s definitely one to put on your list. We’ll certainly be back!

One of the best meals I’ve had. I loved the old-fashioned cocktail- apparently they use maple syrup in the mix. Excellent broccoli appetizer. The pork loin was delicious. My wife had the sea bass, which was delicately prepared and was truly Devine. The maple dessert - it was maple, fried, and situated above caramel, with a lovely vanilla ice cream on the side. Outstanding!

worst of the worst restaurant in mtl !!!! I ordered the hanger steak medium, but the meat was smelly and extremely tough and chewy while still being way too bloody. The meat is not fresh. The chef was terrible. The seasoning was really weird, and the sauce had strange medicinal taste, almost like medicine. The floor looked dirty too. On top of all that, the place was expensive and absolutely not worth the money. Terrible value for what you get. I have tried lots of steak all over the world, I can definitely say this is the worst steak I’ve ever had. So angly and disappointed about this resto.... don't understand why it has such a high rate on google.

Amazing dinner. Went for my birthday. The halloumi appetizer was delicious. Our entrees were incredible. We went with our four year old son and they were absolutely accommodating and made delicious pasta for him as well. Rum punch was delicious. Our waiter, Felix, provided incredible service as well as the recommendation for the crispy maple squares dessert - MUST TRY - as well as other recommendations around Montreal. The seafood rissoto was delicious. Already considering going back again even though we’re in town less than a week. Highly recommend!

Those crispy golden fries were exactly what I needed after the Pistons game tonight. I am definitely the most interesting thing you will find on the menu, and I am usually a lot more fun to be around than the food. Send a message if you can keep up.

The Staff was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable of their menu. The food was delicious. It is a small restaurant and we just walked in. I would recommend reservations. It could fill up very fast. Truely a great meal.We enjoyed it so much we went back. The food was just as amazing.
