I have been going to this location off and on for many years. After not going for about a year, I have gone twice in the past month or so. I find that the food's flavor has gone down a bit and portion size has definitely shrunk. For example, one of my favorites is the special sub. The second to last time that is what I ordered and found that the amount of meat was what appeared to be about half of what it used to be and the smoked meat, which is what upgrades it from just a regular sub, was barely there. It has always been topped off with lots of shredded lettuce, but this time there was way more shredded lettuce than anything else. The last visit, my wife and I had smoked meat sandwiches. We both noticed that there was almost half the amount of smoked meat than there used to be, and honestly, if I was given this sandwich and asked what the meat inside was, I don't think my first guess would be smoked meat. I don't know what has changed, but I know that I didn't see the owner that used to be there all of the time, who would chat with the customers and joke with the regulars, which went a long way to create loyalty to the place. I am guessing that it is now under new management and the new owner doesn't understand what made the place special to its clients. I am guessing that it is now all about maximizing profit above all else. What a shame.
