We used to come here every time we visited Montreal back between about 2002 to 2007 and the food, service and ambiance were always first rate and never disappointed. My wife just wondered whether the restaurant and Kazim were still there and I was pleasantly surprised to see they both are. We just decided to make the 6 hour drive not only to revive memories of Montreal but also to partake in the culinary delights offered here. So, in short, based on the reviews I’ve seen it is still first rate and hoping to see Kazim and enjoy his marvelous creations.
What guests say about Restaurant L’Autre Saison
Restaurant L’Autre Saison receives mostly very positive comments for the quality of the food, attentive service, and warm atmosphere. Several customers highlight the live piano, elegant decor, and a nice selection of drinks. However, a few negative reviews mention disappointing human interactions and concerns about the welcome, so it may depend on the service at the time.

Very nice and cozy place nice for date night or meeting.Owner is very friendly and make you feel know him long time and delicious food
This restaurant is underrated, the food is wonderful and every main comes with potato and vegetables (you can choose smashed). The service is very good. However they are very tricky, they asked you still or sparking water and they don't tell you there is a hidden option : tap water. still water is so expensive 10 dollars per head
Me and my Father ate here when visiting Montreal our first night, and we walked in to a beautiful restaurant with a live piano. We were greeted by the most amazing host/server Mayghann. She was extremely knowledgeable of the food and wine, and gave us the best recommendations for beer, appetizers, entrees and dinner! All the while having the best personality! The food was phenomenal, and the service was some of the best I've ever seen (and this is coming from a top professional of the service industry myself). I would recommend anyone and everyone to eat here! You will not regret it.
Amazing service and food, beautiful setting, extensive and solid wine list. The very attentive personnel makes the experience a delight, and the piano nights ( Friday and Saturday) really sets the tone. PS: the Digby sourced scallops are a bliss, cooked to perfection.
The interior design was elegant and exquisite, creating a truly beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere. The live piano music made the whole dining experience feel even more special and memorable. The service was amazing — attentive, professional, and warm from beginning to end. The seafood was absolutely delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and the dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. One of the best dining experiences in Montreal.
Had a phenomenal time! Amazing service, extremely nice owner and delicious food. Definitely spin by if you're in the area!
If you are looking at the reviews debating whether or not to go, I would strongly advise to. The food and the service are both excellent so you won't regret it!
Big YIKES. My partner and I (visibly queer) walked into this restaurant after looking up good French restaurants and seeing their menu. We went inside and right away were thrown off by the weird energy. There was one table yet the waiter had to go do a loop to go to if he could seat us. After seeing all the reviews about the blatant racism it makes sense as it was giving homophobia. Save your money and walk down the street to Weinstein and Gavino’s— immaculate vibes, immaculate service. Ask for Sebastian— you’re welcome!
This has to be one of my favorite restaurant experiences in Montreal ever. The food was delicious (I had the escargot appetizer and then grilled Salmon). Super flavorful and fresh, leaving me on the right side of full. The dessert (lava cake with ice cream) honestly healed something deep within me. Not only was the food amazing, but our server, Mayghann, was super charming, swooping in to fulfill requests we didn’t even know we had. The owners even came out at one point to give us the history of the restaurant and building (a gorgeous, cozy townhouse with original murals and woodwork). Not to mention the LIVE PIANO. Wow. I will definitely be coming back, if only for a quick espresso and chat.
