Definately a hidden gem. Food is outstanding. I can't say anything negative about it. Level of spicy ( depends what you ask for ) but medium spicy is simply outstanding. Service could improve a bit but still very good. Verdict : give it a try.
Reviews / Ratings for Restaurant Kuljit India
This is a family run restaurant that you would think was a popular haunt for the last 50 years in a heavily walked pedestrian part of the city core. So how lucky are those living in Saint-Laurent to be able to drive here in a few minutes and park merely feet away from the front door for free! Always clean, always busy, always delicious, always eat too much. Amazing, fresh Indian food served with no nonsense and at a fast clip. Many people take out. The food flies out the door non stop.
Good tasty food, not expensive and fast service. Highly recommended
It is an unfortunate visit of mine here in this restaurant . I came from Vancouver just to have something good but i just get zero food quality and the server is not pleasant
Food is delicious but service is not good. Behaviour of staff is not friendly. Need to improve customer service and behaviour.
never ate something i didn't like here, and whenever i bring people who aren't big fans of indian food, they have always finished their plate! lamb, chicken, samosas, naan, everything is perfect
That’s very kind. I was craving samosas, so I ordered just two for $3, and they still included chutney with it, which most other restaurants usually don’t offer. On top of that, the taste was absolutely wonderful. I really appreciated the overall experiencer Today around 6 pm
Delicious!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kuljit India in Ville Saint-Laurent is an absolute gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food is outstanding—each dish bursting with authentic flavors and perfect spices. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite is a delight. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious, authentic Indian cuisine in Montreal!
Really flavourful food with reasonable prices. We ordered samosas 🤤, fish pakora (an absolute MUST), the always-satisfying butter chicken, a couple of vegetarian options (aloo gobi, channa - both delicious), and naan (so soft and buttery). Portions aren't huge, but they're filling. And lil tip: if you're spice-averse, make sure to ask for mild. Medium spice was way spicier than I expected, and I like spicy food.
The girl on counter don't hear and just create bill without customer consent of payment method
Today, we took our friends to this restaurant for a party, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. First of all, the staff service was extremely poor. The staff was not welcoming at all, there was no smile on their faces, and the way food was served felt careless and disrespectful. It almost felt like they were upset with us for no reason. When we showed our dissatisfaction, there was no regret or concern on their faces, and no effort was made to improve the situation. Coming to the food quality, it was also below expectations. We ordered some starters, and for dinner we ordered curries and naan. The appetizers had no taste at all, and the main course was bland. Even the naan did not feel fresh. The most disappointing part was that despite such poor service and average food, the bill was very high, which was not at all justified according to the quality and service provided. Overall, after spending so much money, we were not satisfied at all. We would not recommend this restaurant. The management seriously needs to work on staff behavior, service quality, food taste, and pricing.
