We are regular customers and have always appreciated your service. However, recently we’ve noticed a decline in food quality, as it has become quite tasteless. The kids’ menu was too spicy for children, and they were unable to eat it. Additionally, this is the third time we’ve ordered tea, and unfortunately, it has been consistently unsatisfactory. We did not consume it but were still charged. We hope you can look into this matter.

I have been so lucky to have found this restaurant for catering. I have been using them for Eid lunches at work for the past few times. And every time was an amazing experience. They always recommend a new dish and it's always a hit. Whether chicken Karahis, meat dishes (achari ghosht) or rice (Biryani or any sort of pulao). The quality, cleanliness and taste of every dish is mouth watering.I have to thank the management of this restaurant because the delivery was on time, and they added a dish on them without charge. The delivery accidentally mixed up one of the dishes, the management not only made sure we got the actual dish on time but also gave the Biryani without charge. Lahori butt karahi, charcoal chicken. Pulao, chickpeas dish quality of naan everything was delicious. The clinic was in awe of the food. The food could have catered to 40+ people.

Terrible terrible service .. it was the 3rd day of eid and they have advertise that they will serve Lahori style food such as paye nihari lassi chane puri halwa.. when we went they only served chane puri halwa and keema with aloo .. and it’s not worth 25$ each person.. when we asked they said oh that was a mistake.. what?!?!? The owner calls back and has the audacity to tell us oh then you could have just left.. didn’t want to listen… who ever is reading this don’t go to khanjee totally totally awful service and very rude owners

This was a buffet that we have been offering daily and posting about on our social media. We do not advertise one fixed Eid menu, and we never claimed that every item mentioned in our posts would be available all at once on every single day. Our buffet changes from day to day. Some days we serve nihari, some days paya, some days keema, and some days halwa puri with chane. The dishes mentioned in our promotions are examples of Lahori-style breakfast items we may serve across different days, not a fixed guarantee of one exact menu. That has always been the case. You and your family saw the items that were available in the buffet and still chose to sit down and eat. If you and your family were unsure or dissatisfied with the selection, you could have asked before eating or chosen not to proceed. Instead, you and your family chose to eat, spend roughly an hour and a half in the restaurant, enjoy the meal, and only complain at the very end, at the time of payment, that certain items were not present. Even then, despite how you and your family conducted yourselves, we still tried to accommodate you. We brought out extra dishes that were not even part of the buffet specifically to accommodate you and your family. We made an effort beyond what was already being served, and we still tried to handle the matter respectfully. What followed was completely unacceptable. You and your family cursed and swore over food items that were not present, and you did so in the presence of young children and other adults in the restaurant. That kind of language and behavior is disgraceful in any setting, let alone in a family environment during Eid. Your conduct upset our team to the point that a young girl working with us was left crying. No disappointment over buffet items justifies abusing staff, creating a scene, swearing in front of families, or turning a restaurant into the dumping ground for your personal frustration. You and your family then chose to throw $100 at the owner while hurling insults and leaving. For a group of approximately 10 to 12 adults and children, you can do the math yourselves as to whether that reflected any genuine intention to pay fairly for what was consumed. That amount was your decision, not something we demanded or imposed. That is also the reason the owner called afterward: to inquire about what had happened and address the situation directly. Instead of speaking respectfully, you responded with a barrage of complaints, called us the worst and used language so abusive that much of it would not even be acceptable to repeat publicly, let alone in a Google review. Let us be clear: throwing money, abusing staff and ownership, and then posting a one-sided review as though you and your family were somehow mistreated is not feedback. It is abusive, disrespectful, and dishonest conduct. We are open to genuine complaints, and if a guest is dissatisfied, there are proper and respectful ways to raise concerns. What happened here was not that. You and your family chose to eat first, complain only at the time of payment, demand specific items after the fact, reject our efforts to accommodate you, verbally abuse staff and ownership, and then post a review that completely omits your own behavior. We also want to make one thing very clear: Khanjee already has charitable initiatives in place for people who are genuinely in need, and we are always willing to help where help is deserved. What we will not tolerate is anyone using intimidation, abuse, disruption, or public theatrics as a way to avoid accountability after eating. Kindness should not be mistaken for weakness, and charity should not be exploited. We welcome guests with sincerity, and we do our best every day to serve our community with care. But we will never accept abusive behavior toward our staff, especially during Eid and Ramadan, when patience, decency, and respect should matter most.

The iftar buffet was fairly average overall with limited variety and only average taste. It didn’t quite stand out compared to other options, expected a bit more in terms of both selection and flavor.

I want to respond to the owner of KhanJee Restaurant. Ali Yes, a mistake can happen in any business, but what matters is how the mistake is fixed. I drove about 25 minutes to pick up my order and another 25 minutes back home. When I opened the food, it was not the order I placed. When I contacted the restaurant, instead of delivering the correct order or refunding my money in a simple way, I was asked to drive again to pick it up or place an Uber order myself. Since the mistake was made by the restaurant, the responsibility to correct it should not fall on the customer. I clearly said that if the issue was not resolved, I would leave a review so other customers know about my experience. That is not a threat — it is simply a customer sharing their experience. Customers should not have to spend extra time, fuel, and effort to fix a restaurant’s mistake. I hope the restaurant improves how it handles situations like this in the future.

We’re sorry the order was incorrect, but let’s keep the facts straight. The owner is Yasir Zaid. We did not refuse to help — we simply asked that our staff not be spoken to abusively on the phone, particularly during Ramadan. Respect goes both ways. Since the order was paid in cash, we offered three options to resolve the matter: a cash refund, a complimentary meal, or arranging the order through Uber. That is called trying to solve the problem. We are always happy to refund or replace a meal. In fact, we go out of our way to help people, including providing food boxes for charity. What we will not tolerate is abuse toward our staff. Two days later, we’d still rather serve you a proper meal than continue a back-and-forth here. So let’s end this on a better note — come by, have a fresh mutton karahi, and let’s choose peace over drama. 🍲✨ Take care and Ramadan Kareem -------------------------------------------------------- Hi Neeamat, hope you are doing well. First, as we mentioned on the phone, we sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding and the inconvenience caused. We are in the final days of Ramadan, and during busy periods mistakes can sometimes happen when orders are taken over the phone. That does not excuse the error, but we do want to acknowledge it and apologize for it clearly. Once you contacted us, we accepted that a mistake had been made and we offered several solutions to resolve the matter. We offered to prepare the correct mutton karahi for you at no charge if you wished to come pick it up. We also offered to work around delivery by asking you to place a small Uber order so we could send it out, and we offered to return your payment in cash, since the original order was paid in cash. We also offered an extra complimentary order on your next visit. Unfortunately, e-transfer is not handled by the restaurant staff directly, which is why that specific option was not available at the time. That said, while we fully accept responsibility for the order mistake, we cannot accept abusive language, threats, or the claim that no effort was made to resolve the issue. We offered multiple reasonable solutions in good faith, and it is not fair to present the situation as though we refused to help. Additionally I dont want to bring it up but you should also recall all the complimentary everytime you visit so its not fair to go out on a rampage when we acknowledged our mistake We value our customers and always try to correct any issue respectfully. Our offer still stands, and we would be happy to welcome you back for a complimentary mutton karahi. We hope this matter can be put behind us in a respectful way. Thank you, and we wish you well.
