Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The food was exceptional - fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous and well worth the price. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and despite being busy, we didn't feel rushed. The dessert was the perfect ending to our meal. We'll definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service. Five stars!

On Valentine’s Day, we reserved a table for two at Grinder for our first visit — and it truly exceeded our expectations. When we arrived, a very kind gentleman named Etienne welcomed us warmly and showed us to our table. Shortly after, our waiter Devin took care of us with such professionalism and genuine kindness. The atmosphere was vibrant yet romantic — perfect for a special evening. We started with the Wagyu beef carpaccio and fried calamari, both absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. For our main course, we originally ordered the 40 oz Côte de Bœuf to share. After our appetizers, Etienne kindly informed us that they had unfortunately run out of it and offered two 20 oz New York style steaks instead. We agreed, and the way he handled the situation was incredibly thoughtful and professional. To make up for the inconvenience, Etienne generously offered us complimentary cocktails. He even came back to confirm our drinks and surprised us with three cocktails, personally joining us for a cheerful toast and wishing my boyfriend a happy birthday. That personal touch made the night so special. Our steaks were outstanding — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. To end the evening, they brought us a dessert with ice cream on the house for my boyfriend’s birthday, which was such a sweet gesture. Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere was exceptional. A huge thank you to Etienne and Devin for making our night so memorable. We highly recommend Grinder and will definitely be back!

solo dinner, walked in without a reservation and was seated at the bar. dark interior which suited the setting and gave a good atmosphere. cocktail ordered reminded me of a singapore sling which i thoroughly enjoyed. oysters from PEI. highlight was the hanger steak. came with one sauce of your selection but the waiter was nice to let me have 2. i went for red wine and black pepper. at first i thought the steak was chewy, but the more i ate it the more i realized it was just this specific cut of meat. and that its not chewy, but tender. overall decent meal at a very reasonable price.

Grinder is the Resto we reserve for special occasions. Great oysters, perfectly cooked steak & fish, and friendly smiling staff. Seems like the go-to destination for the beautiful 30-somethings, lucky they let us in :) Highly recommended!

Great valet service on arrival, waiter heard us talking about how the heating lamps were too high and offered us to lower it without even us asking about it. Fast service and the food was to die for. We went for the 2 person Porterhouse, the cook was perfect and cut was one of the best.

Grinder is my standby in Montreal. I fell in love with this place the first time I visited it years ago and it hasn’t dropped a beat. I love the scallops but probably order the salmon tartare most often; the trio with the tuna and steak tartare is a great introduction. The staff is so chill and so much fun… special shoutout to Kimberley who keeps everyone glowing 💕

We had a fantastic experience. Firstly the caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had at any restaurant, period. Beautifully dressed, crunchy croutons, amazingly prepared bacon and fresh greens. We then split a NY Striploin and it was juicy. Cooked perfectly medium-rare. A fantastic cut. The accoutrements being the cherry on top. The fries were delicious and hand cut. The cheesecake and caramel cake were both devine, a strong finish to an already stellar meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the level of service we received and atmosphere in the restaurant. I’m big on cozy, moody lighting which this venue certainly has. Flawless. No notes.

Incredible experience. I’ve been twice and both times I was blown away by the food quality, overall value, and service. I had Sadya as my server and she was impressively attentive and welcoming. The burgers are incredible, but so is everything else we’ve tried so far. I’ll be back soon!
