I’m not one to leave reviews, however, this is my favorite restaurant to eat at and the food is always great, i have to support them :) as basic as it is, their butter chicken is the best i’ve ever had and their naan is also delicious! Great service and always on time, i have nothing bad to say. Currently waiting on my delivery :)

My go to Indian restaurant for now on. The butter chicken and lamb korma were really creamy and sweet how I like it. Good portion at a reasonable price!

Food is fantastic, naans are great and rice portion is big. Not massive variety, but the tikka masalla was super creamy and the chilli chicken was delicious. Decent to higher price for curry but worth it, vibes was quiet but it was a weekday. Service was friendly. Deffo reccomend over other spots nearby

We ask the waitress to surprise us with enough food for three. Absolutely delicious. I gave it a 4 star atmosphere because it isn’t wheelchair accessible, but! The were busy with deliveries downstairs.

I think the food is okay, its not the best I've had honestly but it isn't bad either. If you can wait it out I would recommend other spots but if you're hungry and can't wait it out, this spot is a decent try. What I will however recommend being careful is the staff, they are not courteous at all and what looked like the chef or the cook was sitting on the cooking counter top and singing some songs. And when I looked at him, they guy started singing all the more. They dont care about the customer walking and if they should attend to the customer, its just run like some roadside tea shop. The ambience is almost non existent. No music, no one to ask you is there anything specific you're looking for etc. To be honest I'm surprised how this place hasn't closed yet which such kind of an attitude to work. Probably the only thing keeping them going is some decent food and the online orders. They aren't cheap either, i have been to Bawarchi several times and the order value tends to be approx $30-35, I paid $50 and the food quantity was just ok, not worth it. This will probably be my last time here, I honestly won't recommend this place. To the owner, please take your service seriously and treat customers with a bit more care, it will benefit your restaurant a lot more. Also, I understand everyone gets bored at work at some point but dont sing in front of a customer who's waiting for their food, that looks absolutely stupid. Please take this in the positive way and work on your ambience too, this is Canada, people love to eat at a good restaurant and enjoy the ambience too.

We had walked all day and it was a joy to find this hidden gem around the corner from our hotel. The decor is sparse and the furnishings are basic, but the service and food were outstanding. We were seated right away, the food came quickly and hot. I would absolutely recommend for the tasty food, but expect a very casual atmosphere.

I ordered 4 times there and the last 3 times either my portion of rice was missing or I received (3 times) regular rice pudding when I ordered Kheer rice pudding. But this time, they game me an expired rice pudding. It was few rices bathing in a very liquid pudding. Very disappointed.

I had a really wonderful experience at Golden Thali. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. Everything we ordered was prepared very well and tasted amazing. The portions were also good, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. A special mention to Tanya for her amazing service. She was very polite, friendly, attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed. Her warm and welcoming attitude made our dining experience even better. She was quick with the service and treated us very nicely throughout our visit. The restaurant has a nice and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff is very welcoming. I really enjoyed both the food and the service. I would definitely recommend Golden Thali to anyone looking for delicious Indian food and great customer service. Thank you to Tanya and the whole team for making our experience so enjoyable. I will definitely visit again!

Really disappointing experience. Our friend placed a DoorDash order for pickup, and the three of us went to the restaurant together. Two of us wanted to order food and dine in, while our friend simply wanted to pick up his order and sit with us to eat it. The woman working there told him that because his order was a pickup order, he was not allowed to eat inside and had to take his food and leave. We were literally there as a group, with two people ordering directly from the restaurant, so this made absolutely no sense to us. I was so frustrated by the way the situation was handled that I decided to leave without ordering. Very disappointing customer service and an unnecessary way to treat customers. We simply wanted to eat together.

One of the best Indian restaurant in the city. The perfect order is : - onion bhajji - samosa - chicken tikka masala - lamb curry - pulao rice or byriani - butter naans Tanya the server is really sweet and attentive. A hole in the wall worth making it your go to for indian food cravings. We go there every week and the food is consistent and is even getting better!

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the experience. The lights weren’t working properly—I actually saw a customer using their phone flashlight. Luckily, the ceiling light above our table was working. The washroom was quite dirty, and the food was honestly below average. There was a lot of red food colouring, but unfortunately not much flavour. The naan was just okay too. The place also seemed understaffed, which didn’t help. It’s not an expensive restaurant, but for me, it wasn’t worth the time or money. I really don’t understand the 4.5-star rating based on my experience.
