My first visit to Restaurant FRESCO in Saint-Léonard turned out to be an example of how a business can fail on the fundamentals. The pasta arrived looking as though it had lost the will to live somewhere between the kitchen and the table. Carelessly plated, visually unappealing, and most critically overcooked. I had clearly requested it to be al dente. As an Italian, I don’t treat that as a suggestion, it’s a baseline requirement. What I received instead was reheated leftovers, which is unforgivable in a restaurant. The service, just as bad, The waiter was dismissive and displayed a level of indifference that suggests a systemic issue. When a business tolerates that kind of behavior, it is effectively telling customers their experience doesn’t matter. I chose not to send the dish back due to time constraints, but paying for it was a mistake I won’t repeat. I will not be returning here and I would advise others to not to go.
