Food was yummy but got a solid dose of food poisoning from it :/ I think it was the duck as no one else at my table got it and they felt fine (ish)

The food was the low point. The duck noodles and Chinese greens were excellent. The bbq meat plate arrived with everything cold. We literally could not eat it. There is something disconcerting about being served cold sliced duck and chicken. It looked delicious. The Tea arrived Luke warm. Service was no better than average. Hard pass on this place.
Very overcrowded and the food was incredibly bland, the"broth" seemed like a mix of water and a bit of salt, overall terrible. The duck didn't taste bad but it had massive bones so the meat wasn't even worth it. It's insane it was even crowded in the first place. The drinks never arrived. The food was so awfully bland I decided to take it home and season it myself since 16 dollars was already a punch on the face. Literally just flavorless noodles in water and oil with a few stalks of long broccoli. The "signature" dish part is still a mystery to me of how it would even become a signature. I took it to go and then they gave me an inappropriate container which leaked the entire way home. Absolute disaster and I don't recommend people to come here. The tables are so close to each other that you'll be lucky not to get a headache while listening to the sound of multiple people around you.
They serve really good portions, it was difficult for us to eat everything. The dishes have good taste, but probably I was having more expectations just by seeing the duck at the entrance. We were looking for the best duck and we asked to Gemini for the recommendation. We aren’t sure if this is the best one but I was expecting a more crunchy flavor
A long-established spot in Chinatown that many locals know well. Famous for roast pork and roast duck, especially the roast duck noodles. Authentic Chinese flavors. Upstairs seating offers a great view of the street enjoy hot noodles with Hong Kong style milk tea while watching snowfall in winter or golden leaves in autumn. A true Hong Kong experience in the heart of Montreal.
A Chinese restaurant full with White people.
We had the Guilin noodles, plate of 3 meats - Char sui, duck, pork belly, and bok choy. Our favourite was the char sui and the bok choy!! We found the pork belly just to be meh though.
Food is very good and the service 🤩🙌🏼, Angela is the 🌞 of the place !
An honest family run business from a Hong Kongese multi-generational family. Located in a food plaza, the front windows showcase the classic roast duck, crispy and bbq pork. The inside is decorated with a lot of Bruce Lee in the upper level that overlooks the street of Quebec. The food is authentic Hong Kong food and is delicious. No short cuts were made. The milk tea leaves some to be desired with the flavor and high amount of milk to tea and condensed milk used. The tea does not have a lot of condensed milk to give it sugar. The staff were all helpful and king people.
Delicious food served hot, quick service, friendly atmosphere.
Very flavorful meat but noodles and rice were a little underwhelming. As my third time coming to Dobe & Andy, I can say they are obviously well known for their chinese/Cantonese style of BBQ meat that is very flavorful but the rest of the dish falls a bit behind. Ordered the beef noodle soup with wontons, the garnish was almost like a pho-styke with raw onion and bean sprouts but did complement the soup. The soup is not too salty or fatty, it's decent for a cold day. The noodles and wontons however were lacking in flavor, they use very thin noodles. The wontons had an overwhelming taste of ginger and only 4 or so in my soup. There were 5 moderate slices of braised beef which were good, about 20-30% ratio of fat to lean meat. I was also asked if I wanted chili oil on the side, and I said yes but did not know it was $1. The chili oil was similar to Lao gan me, quite flavorless and didn't add much to the dish. After tax, I paid 24, which is definitely above average for braised beef wonton noodle soup, so I probably wouldn't get that again. Overall, decent place for chinese/Cantonese style BBQ meat but don't focus on the rice/noodles as the star.
This is the second time I've been here and each time is great. I went with a big group of friends and the staff was super kind and accommodating. Every dish we had was delicious. The green onion sauce remains a favorite.
This is from a Uber Eats order, food is good but look at the portion … what a big letdown !
Amazing staff with amazing food and an incredible atmosphere!
lived up to the praise I'd heard. The experience was great, with a menu that feels confident rather than showy. Everything was well-executed, but the duck stood out in particular—rich, balanced, and memorable. A genuinely enjoyable meal and a place I'm glad to have finally discovered for myself.
Very dated restaurant with so so food but above average price. Primitive setups from tables to table ware. Washroom is outside not on site and need a key from the restaurant to use. Washroom is not in a welcome state.
The food is incredible! I always take the vegetarian chow mein and the rolls... THE ROLLS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! I really recommend this restaurant if you want to make sure to eat very well
This hidden gem now becomes one of my favorite spot to go for dinner with friends, not only that all the dishes are delicious, it is also affordable! The deco brings me back to the old fashioned styles restaurant. The service was quick and super friendly! The portion is big enough for individual. I will definitely try more dishes next time when I come back there! I recommend everyone to try out this place.
