The waitress was extremely rude and disrespectful. What an attitude! I visited around 11:45 a.m. with my friend. She seemed completely uninterested in doing her job. If she didn’t want to speak to customers, she would have been better off staying home. Instead of simply asking, “Would you like some more coffee?” she just tapped the table and used gestures. She showed very little courtesy or professionalism as a waitress. She even interrupted our meal prayer, which I found very disrespectful. When I asked her to replace a burnt piece of toast, she simply grabbed it without saying a single word. This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely horrible service.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is in French and English. Our waitress was sweet and spoke English too. All the breakfast came with coffee or tea. Prices are average well portion. Very limited parking space available.

The food was bland. I ordered fried zucchini, thinking it was in season and would be good, but it was tasteless. I tried to share it with my fellow diners, and nobody would eat it. I also ordered pasta with Gigi sauce, and again, it was underwhelming.

We went for a Sunday brunch with family here. The location of this place is unbeatable. Being right by the canal you get uninterrupted views of the water, the marina and the adjoining park. Restaurant Crescendo is going to be my favourite place to go for Sunday brunches :)

Goof food. Good portions. Great staff ;) its right by the river, they even have seating in the terrace by the water. I've gone at least 5 times, very conveniently located for me.

Service was good and friendly. Spacious. Quick. My spinach was gritty at times, it wasn't washed properly. The potatoes were a little over salted before coming tp us. But it was overall a very tasty breakfast.

Good food and view. Thanks to the chef and unfortunately the waiter was unprofessional and rude. I can say that the guy threw almost everything on the table and ruined my wife's birthday with his behavior.

Wow what a great restaurant and Staff especially Marilynn (the lady who works wends) as a uk military Army veteran having to use a wheelchair now, Crescendo's restaurant went well above customer service i expected and the food was 100% also for myself i was always warmly welcomed from the very pleasant staff, the food was perfect👌 and of good sized portions, as well as a nice chilled background music playing with a relaxing atmosphere👍 I visited 3-4 times in a week whilst visiting on vacation from Ireland/uk to my cousins etc in Montreal As previously stated from my first ever visit last week whom a waitress i believe was named marylyn ? A dark haired very pretty petite lady was always very pleasant, professional and understanding of my needs to drink unlimited refills of coffee! Lol. And thus due to her professional customer service etc i have now made Crescendos my no1 choice of restaurant when im in Montreal vacationing to visit my cousins from Ireland. I would and will very much highly recommend Crescendos restaurant to any future customers with a 5star review. Once again A great many thanks To all your staff at Crescendos and especially to Marylyn who is a great member and an asset to Crescendos restaurant staff All the best Adrian 🤙

Pros: - Great location on the water - Ample, spacious parking - Many choices for breakfast - Thin crepes were delicious and light Cons: - Expensive for what you get. I ordered the strawberry crepes and got maybe 2 full strawberies with some custard. No whipped cream, no chocolate, no coulis, etc. - Outdoor chairs were very uncomfortable. Just wooden backs with 0 padding. - Maitre D at the front spoke 0 English. I asked for a table for 2 and he answered "Pardon?!". - Strong pool smell at the front of the restaurants. Maybe it's from the cleaning products, but it was gross. - Waitress was a bit slow for everything and they were not even at 50% capacity. - They had a bunch of staff who were just standing there and not really doing anything. Maybe they get busier later on, but it was weird to see. Overall, it was good, but we have no desire to return. A generous 3.5/5 stars.

The maître d’hôtel you referred to is Martin, the owner, and he is bilingual. It is possible there was simply a misunderstanding or that he did not clearly hear your request upon arrival. Regarding the crêpes, we offer several varieties, including strawberry crêpes with pastry cream, strawberry and chocolate crêpes topped with whipped cream, and other options depending on guests’ preferences. All breakfast plates also include coffee. As for the number of employees present, our restaurant has over 250 seats and serves a very large volume of guests, especially during busy periods. For this reason, we maintain a larger team to ensure smooth operations and quality service throughout the day. During breakfast service, our chef and co-owner Pierre is personally involved in preparing the plates to ensure the quality and consistency of every dish served. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future

I always love coming here! The food is delicious - even the Caesar salad felt fresh and elevated. Edit: came for brunch, the crepes are so good!!

I'd passed by this restaurant many times before finally deciding to have brunch there. I ordered a bagel with smoked salmon, which was very reasonably priced and offered a beautiful river view. The restaurant had a rustic atmosphere, which made me feel very relaxed and peaceful.

This is by far the worst restaurant where I’ve had breakfast in my life. My eggs Benedict were tasteless and full of water. The hollandaise sauce was the worst I’ve ever tasted and looked like it had just been thrown on top of the eggs. The fried potatoes were very basic and had no seasoning at all. I honestly would have been better off buying a frozen breakfast than going to this overpriced restaurant. I shared my experience on Facebook, and most of my friends replied that it’s a really bad restaurant, so I’m very surprised by the good reviews. Very skeptical, even. And no, I’m not interested in giving it another chance. You can’t blame this on just one bad experience. So far, several of my Facebook friends, and even people from work, have reached out to say they had the same experience. You need to go out there and see for yourself how far behind your quality really is. I hope more people write honest reviews. Oh, and the pancakes were soggy too. I forgot to mention that.

Nice restaurant, lots of parking, reliable quality of food and service, beautiful view of the water and bike path, lovely outdoor terrace in the summertime. However I cannot give this restaurant 5 stars because their washrooms were filthy, and that is an important detail for me. To begin with they are cramped and dark, the sink is leaking into a bucket beneath it, the garbages had not been emptied and were overflowing, and the smell was awful. (It may have been something in the water, I don't know.) I would love to recommend this restaurant, but this tainted my opinion, unfortunately. They seriously need to fix this issue.

Unfortunately, we experienced an unexpected plumbing issue with a faucet over the weekend due to normal wear and tear, and it needed to be replaced. Our plumber has already come in this morning to resolve the situation. We would also like to clarify that there was no bucket collecting water — the leak was draining directly into the sink. That said, we fully understand that the overall condition you experienced is not up to our standards. Please note that the building was originally designed by the City of Verdun many years ago, and the layout of the washrooms is not something we can easily modify. However, cleanliness is absolutely our responsibility, and we take your comments seriously. This situation does not reflect the level of care we aim to provide. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused and hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a complete five-star experience
