What a irresponsible staff. Don't have the value of others time. When I ask them how much time my order gonna take. They said they don't know. Just wastage of money and time ..
It was my first time and the food was delicious the service was great 👍 ambiance was very nice 👌
This is the best Italian restaurant in Montreal and probably the best restaurant in the whole Canada. I came here in the past with two friends and the pizzas were amazing and the tiramisu was beyond mouthwatering and tasty! Today I came with a friend and had the Coniglio alla cacciatora and my friend ordered salmon, there was a little misunderstanding with the order but then it was corrected and my friend was able to have his salmon with veggies and pasta as well, for what you eat the price is really good, portions are generous and the food is very well cooked and prepared, whether you get pasta or pizza or meat everything is perfectly cooked and staged in places to the perfection. Because of the little misunderstanding the waiter was beyond kind and generous and offered us the dessert and coffee, I got the Ferrero rocher cheese cake which was insanely good! They have many choices of Italian wines and they serve a good espresso coffee, I don’t like espresso in many places in Montreal but I loved it here! I am Italian born and raised in Italy and I love this place, the family who created this place did an amazing job for the products they offer, for the passion they have in cooking and for the people they choose to work for them! Good job guys keep up the good work, I can’t wait to come back and eat again there!
We were very excited to try this restaurant since I love with two pasta lovers. We each ordered different meals and they were all delicious. Our waiter was very polite and helpful. I appreciated that they offered both English and French language menus. The atmosphere was beautiful and very welcoming to all. There were families with young children as well as couples.
Good: We had vegetarian Pasta and pizza and some drinks. Pasta was good, pizza was lacking veggies but fresh oven backed crust was nice. Wine and Mango margaritas were good. Bad: two of the drinks we ordered didn’t have simple syrup so they were very sour, un drinkable. I informed the waiter and he said they won’t charge. But they charged. We asked for more bread, it was finished ! Salads were ok, could be dressed well and noticed some ingredients from list missing or barely there! Pretty noisy and tight spaced place.
The food and place is extraordinarily good and delicious. Do meet Patric, he is amazing will make sure to provide best experience!!
One of the best Pizza and Pasta I have ever had in Montreal. A bit pricey but worth every Ravioli!
What a gem this place is! The restaurant interior is beautiful and service outstanding. I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff, something you don’t see often these days. The food was also delicious. Would return 10/10
ubered a scallopini boscaiola and Ferrero chocolate cake. The scallopini's sauce was truly awesome (cream, shallot, white wine a classic). The meat was excellent; it had a bit of texture but gave way easily. The cholate Ferrero cake was a fresh moist chocolate cake thoroughly enjoyable, but I did not find the Ferrero taste that I was expecting; it was very subtle. Nevertheless, an excellent chocolate cake.
Came from out of town to try this place after booking several weeks in advance, drawn in by the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. We started with the charcuterie board, which included an underwhelming eggplant salad that tasted uncooked with 2 shaved Parmesan. The burrata salad was decent, but nothing memorable. For our mains, we ordered individual pastas, my seafood pasta, which I was especially excited about, ended up being a major letdown. No flavour, zero salt and extremely spicy. I’d strongly suggest the chef ease up on the chilli flakes or clearly indicate which dishes are spicy on the menu to avoid dissatisfaction moving forward. As a side note, in case you may be wondering if I’m sensitive to spice and a complainer, my sister ordered the alla puttanesca and that too was full of chilis and overwhelming spicy, and she loves a good spicy dish. While the music itself was lovely, it was played at such a high volume that it was difficult to have a conversation—even with someone sitting right next to you. It felt more like a nightclub than a dining experience. Overall, despite the promising reviews and anticipation, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. With some adjustments to the menu and atmosphere, it could be much more enjoyable, but as it stands, I wouldn’t rush back.
Love the lively atmosphere here. It was hard for us to find an Italian restaurant for a table of 8, so we found Corneli through Google Maps. The decor is beautiful. Love that they never rushed us. Food was comforting and came in big portions. We were looking forward for desserts but we got too full. My sister usually doesn’t like mussels but she loved them here :) Highly recommend this place for group celebrations.
Best Italian restaurant in town. Food and service 10/10
Amazing restaurant! If you got an itch for authentic Italian cuisine, this is the go to spot.
What an amazing Italian meal! The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday evening at 7:45…we were greater immediately and seated in a lovely booth facing the street. Our server names Ryan made a couple of suggestions and we went with the lasagna and the Cornell pizza…oh, my goodness! They were so good! We enjoyed a bottle of Miraval rose..,a perfect compliment! The Italian music, the atmosphere and Ryan’s attention made for a perfect evening!
After a two-year break, I returned to Corneli on a Saturday night at around 7:30 PM and was blown away by the energy! If you want a quiet, intimate dinner, this isn't it! The place was packed to the gills with birthday parties and big families. It’s loud, it’s bustling, and it’s pure Montreal Italian vibes. The Highlights: • Service (Much Improved!): Huge shoutout to the staff. Despite every table being full, our waiter was attentive and prompt. I’ve never seen a team move so fast—they were literally running to keep up, and it worked! • The Food: We shared the Calamari, Cavatelli, and the Linguine Pescatori (see photo!). Everything was delicious: fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and the cocktails were also spot on. • Pro-Tip: You must book a table. We arrived at 7:30 PM and there wasn't a single free seat in the house. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a high-energy spot for a group dinner or a celebratory night out, Corneli is back on my list. The seafood pasta alone is worth the noise!
Good food good service very busy nice staff. Pleasant experience. The pizza was good. The best part though, was the calamari and the arancini. The calamari was really fresh!
No English menus
Very good choices and great service. Always a pleasure to have dinner here. Can’t wait for spring when the terrace opens.
Ryan was amazing. The restaurant was packed and they managed to make room for the two of us. The service team (especially Ryan) was amazing! So warm and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for the wonderful evening. We had a great time.
What a wonderful family owned restaurant! We went to the one in Little Italy (they also have one in Laval opened a year ago!) and we loved the beautiful setting and quality meal and service! The decor is beautiful! Our waiter Ryan was impeccable, very kind and helpful and he also told us a little bit about the history of this restaurant which is fascinating!! The food was delicious and quite affordable for a nice fancy restaurant. Everyone loved it and we will be back!
food is good here
We really enjoyed the quality of the food but the balance was a bit off. We ordered the polenta and the salmon linguine. Both dishes had too little of the secondary ingredients. The polenta could have had more mushrooms and a lot more spinach and sauce, the linguine could have used more of everything except noodles. That's not to say the portion sizes were too small, but rather that there was too much of the "carb" ingredient relative to the other ingredients. The ambiance of the place was pretty good, more modern chic than resolutely Italian in style. The service was also very good handling such a large group.
I tried several different dishes here. All are sooo good.
