What guests say about Restaurant Chez Milot

Restaurant Chez Milot seems to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere, with several very positive comments about the welcome, service, and professionalism of the staff. Several customers also enjoyed dishes such as filet mignon, lamb rack, mussels and fries, and some desserts, sometimes noting generous portions and good value for money. However, a few reviews mention uneven food quality, poor cooking, and service that can sometimes be slow or less professional. If you are looking for a pleasant place for a special outing, it may be worth a try, but the dining experience seems variable.

Truly an exceptional and not overpriced restaurant. The mushroom soup, shrimp cocktail and escargots were excellent. The lampshank was probably the best I've ever had. The sole was great. And I'm not a dessert eater but the Tiramisu was quite good. With a bottle of wine and a 18% tip, the total was $300 CAD for three people. Which is reasonable in this era. The waiter was extremely efficient and polite but a tiny bit snooty which is why I only gave 18% tip! The atmosphere was upscale but not pretentious. I tend to be very critical but not this time. Wow.

The coffee was good as wasthe shrimp cocktail The main was something they called Beef Bourguignon but consisted of very small grossly overcooked cubes of beef with chunks of potato in a strange sauce over linguine. The dessert was called "Titamisu". Although it was quite good, it wasn't anything like any Tiramisu i had ever tasted. I hadn't been to tthe restaurant in Ste-Adèle for a few years. It used to be a great restaurant but I suspect it has been sold . There were very few patrons whereas it used to fill up quite early. I also had some gift cards bought at Costco. I couldn't use the gift cards for the tip or a few other things. I left in disgust and gave the remaining $50 card to the server and told her to give it to someone else because I wouldn't be back

Beautiful experience for a group event. Our server Benoit went above and beyond. He served a group of 25 on his own, without missing a beat while keeping the crowd entertained with his sense of humor. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Absolutely recommend and will definitely return.

We really love going to Chez Milot! Their table d’hôte is excellent! We particularly loved the lobster ravioli and braised beef. The service is great, and the people are very welcoming. When we’re in the Laurentians, Chez Milot is our go to place for dates and special occasions.

Visited: March 2026 The atmosphere here is genuinely lovely. The space feels warm, charming, and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. We had the fixed menu, and the vegetables had almost no flavor at all. Honestly, they tasted like poorly prepared frozen vegetables. I’ve had better frozen ones from Costco. The potatoes were also strange, with a very unusual flavor that didn’t really work. I ordered the beef cheek, which was very tender, but the flavor was quite underwhelming. It felt like a dish that should have been much richer and more memorable but ended up being fairly bland. The French onion soup was the highlight of the meal. It was good, though not particularly exceptional. I almost feel picky writing this because the staff were so kind and the room itself is very charming. The chairs were also not the most comfortable for a longer meal, though that’s a minor point. Overall, wonderful service and atmosphere, but based on the food we had tonight, it’s not a place I would return to for the meals.
