My first Scottish restaurant in Griffintown and a really awesome venue 😇😇 We loved the ambient atmosphere and the staff was super nice, kind, and helpful 🙏🙏 From the maître d’ to the server and the bartender it was fantastic service the entire time! We had the Chardonnay and then moved into the appetizers - sourdough, goat butter, and croquettes and it was beyond tasty ❤️❤️ For the main dish I had the lamb shank with risotto and my husband had the Fish of the Day and each bite was super delicious ❤️❤️ Our full compliments to the chefs for making such a gourmet’s delight made with so much attention and care 🙏🙏 Finally for dessert I had the chocolate mousse and my husband had the ginger loaf and it was heaven on earth ❤️❤️ Cannot wait to come back to this 11/10 Scottish restaurant and try other amazing items on its menu with the best staff and service 😇😇

I can’t believe this is a new restaurant, because it doesn’t feel like it in any way. It instantly feels cozy, rustic and timeless. You get the Scottish tavern feel with incredibly elevated dishes, full of flavour and heartiness. The charred oyster mushrooms are out of this world, the sourdough bread with goat butter is unreal. It’s comfort food that will satisfy even the most discerning foodies of Montreal. The service was incredible. The attention to detail, from cleaning up between every course, to refolding the napkin when you go to the bathroom, to taking your coats as soon as you enter and giving the right ones back without asking. Flawless. You can tell there’s serious high-end hospitality experience behind this place. It feels polished but never pretentious, refined yet full of soul. What a unique blend! I’ve never been to Scotland, although it’s on my list, but this place made me feel like I experienced a little piece of it right in the heart of Saint-Henri. It already feels like a neighbourhood staple, and it’s definitely going on my list of places I’ll bring friends visiting from out of town. Outstanding.
Came here with my Scottish husband and my Scottish in-laws to try something authentic and we were not disappointed! The food felt truly traditional and the atmosphere was amazing. It really felt like a little piece of Scotland. Would definitely recommend!
Such a great place!! Can’t beat the service. A place where the staff really wants to be there.
Had a wonderful Burns night supper here with a party of 6. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was very cozy and home-like. The haggis was excellent, as was the rest of it. The band (and poetry recital!) just added to an already brilliant dining experience. Thank you.
Incredible Sunday roast. Best in the city.
We had an amazing experience at Restaurant Bruce. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was flavourful, warm and delicious. The quaint and cozy ambiance made for wonderful night out on a cold night. Highly recommend!🏴
Already been here 3 times! Great food and a very cool representation of modern Scottish concepts and ingredients. Staff is welcoming and friendly too!
The blood pudding and haggis—dishes that can traditionally be intimidating—were done to perfection and proved approachable for anyone.
Everything was really good! Cute addition to Griffintown. Keep up it up Bruce Team!
The food was excellent, the service was great, lovely food experience..a must
Really cozy spot, great atmosphere and good food! Service was a bit slow but everything else was great
Went here for Hogmanay (NYE). Excellent and friendly service from all the staff. Crumpet was alright. The cauliflower purée had a lumpy oatmeal texture to it that wasn't great. Haggis was pretty good, well seasoned. Scallop was nice but I was expecting more than one. The chocolate mousse and pecans were great finish. The xeres added a bit of a cherry flavour to it. The Glesga cuppa was overpowered by the IRN BRU and just tasted like Orange Crush. The Bruce Martinez was smooth and well balanced. Selkie's kick was nice as well. Enjoyed the music (Class Actress was a welcome surprise). The generic Christmas lights had a weird effect on my photos though as they reflected off the plates. Also using a lion logo when Scotland is more strongly associated with the unicorn is an odd choice.
