We ordered wontons, poulet karaage, ceviche, focaccia, choix brussels, salade de concombres.. all was amazing but my favourite is wontons and focaccia. 🤤 They were delicious

Tried Bincho recently and honestly really loved it. The French-Japanese fusion is super well done, everything felt fresh and refined without being too much. The vibe is really nice too, perfect for a chill night out. And the cocktails… so good 🍸 definitely a place I’d go back to.
Absolutely wonderful deco and atmosphere, and the food was delicious as well! We especially enjoyed the Russian roulette, the hamachi tuna and the pistachio cream dessert. However we had to wait for our dishes for a while, and some of them arrived cold. We would also have enjoyed the option of having chopsticks — it’s a must-have when serving Japanese dishes.
I love this place - the Red Hot cocktail is delicious!
Amazing night with Bastien at the bar!!!
The pink lights is what brought us here. The atmosphere is very nice, cocktails are well made and there’s a great menu with lots of seafood options. Definitely recommend.
5 stars for the bartender !!! He’s really good !!
This brand new fusion spot on the Plateau is a MUST-TRY. I’m not exaggerating when I say… everything was SO good. Like… even the focaccia?! (That butter was fire!). my faves: Chicken karaage, Brussel sprouts, Hamachi tataki, Mazemen carbonara, Mushrooms, Steak. Super unique flavours across the board.
We only received half our food before asking for our bills 2.5 hours later. And what we did eat was bland and poorly executed, especially considering the hefty price tag. The service was very bizarre and cold, and we noticed a lot of the staff (both kitchen and bar) arguing. Weird experience all around. There are plenty of other amazing restaurants in the area to enjoy, so I’d steer clear of this one.
Love Bincho. It’s cool, it’s fun, it’s original and most importantly, it’s delicious!! The rotating focuses on Japanese-French fusion dishes to share. All is best paired with one of signature cocktails
We were a group of 6 and we had to ask for our bills early because it took over two hours to receive not even half the food we ordered. We were sitting hungry while they would drop one plate of food every half hour that we all got one bite of. I had high hopes for this piece and left disappointed. Our waitress tried her best but there was clearly an issue in the kitchen.
Took 2 hours to get anything, absolute nightmare and not even good food
Cool atmosphere very lively vibe.
This gem delivers an unforgettable experience that blends a bold, creative culinary experience with an eclectic, vibrant charm and a subtle nod to its Asian influence. The moment you enter, you are wrapped in a cozy, artistic decor that sets the stage for this unique ''expérience gastronomique'' featuring masterful flavor combinations that challenge your pallet in a familiar yet entirely new way. Nothing short of artistic, innovative combinations that become your instant favorites and wanting more. Add an excellent service staff and top-notch bar selection, this place easily becomes a regular spot in your social calendar.
1 Star - A total disappointment for a special occasion. Don’t let the Tastet review fool you. We came here to celebrate a special occasion, but ended up waiting 2.5 hours for main courses that never arrived. We finally had to cancel our order and leave unsatisfied. While the kitchen was clearly drowning—which the manager admitted was due to being understaffed—the owners and that same manager spent the entire night at the bar drinking and socializing. It was insulting to watch management treat their business like a private party while their staff struggled. Our bartender was doing her absolute best, but she was completely abandoned; there's even video of management admonishing her for simply agreeing to cancel a main that was nowhere near ready after 2.5 hours.
Super slow service, food was mediocre . Staff apologized for the wait, but waited over 2 hours for mains. My husband had an amazing cocktail - that was the highlight but didn't make up for the disappointing food that took long and was not worth the wait. Hope they do better in the future.
This looked really promising, the atmosphere was nice…BUT Lots of items on the menu were not available from the get go, confusing and really slow service, and one of the staff member or owner looked really off and kept creeping up on us. It was hard to understand him and he was really throwing us off in the middle of the conversation, not sure if he was drunk or something but I’ve never witnessed that behaviour at a restaurant before. Uncomfortable. Nothing about the food was memorable, too salty, expensive for the quality, disappointing Plates looked good, but at this point it’s a Montreal standard. If it doesn’t taste great and takes forever to get here; I’ll never come back. If one of the staff makes us uncomfortable, it should be flagged/ So many people around us seemed to be waiting forever for their food as well, and they kept trying to have us order drinks. We had the tiniest glasses of water with no pitcher and had to constantly get their attention to get more water, which is not acceptable given the amount of sodium in the dishes… providing a pitcher or offering impeccable service is a bare minimum. I shouldn’t wave my hand for water. I was really embarrassed I suggested this place to my friend after doing a quick research and seeing good reviews. I avoid writing bad reviews but seeing how unbelievably high the rating is, I need to write the review I wish I had read to avoid this place. People deserve to know it’s deceiving and save their money for a better spot, there are too many good restaurants in this city to waste it on this place. You’re welcome.🙌
No consideration and respect for customers. We tried this restaurant on a Tuesday night. Started well: good wine et entrées. We felt pressure to order more $ which seemed a bit off but we were eager to try this new place. We ended up finishing the bottle, and wondering when the rest of the food would arrive. At least 1 hour passed. 0 aknowledgment of the unusual delay from the staff, which is in my opinion the minimum in hospitality. At several occasions we see the chef (which we were told was working alone that night) hanging and drinking at the bar. Obviously annoyed by the situation we ask for the bill having no confidence in the dishes that will arrive (or not arrive). The situation escalates. Staff tells us that we seemed to be having fun and that we didn’t seem to be annoyed by the delay (?). We pay for what we consumed. Tries to negotiate. This is unacceptable: no expectation should be put on the customer. This restaurant shoud review their customer service and hospitality management or they are not in the right field.
Food quality was very good! The dorade was incredible. The service is among the best one we recieved. Decoration is very cozy, music was great not too loud. Toilet are extremely clean!
We hosted an event at this restaurant on a night they would’ve been almost empty. Everyone ordered at least food and/or drinks. The owner started complaining that people weren’t spending enough (they had 5 people in the entire restaurant on a Thursday night), even though everybody bought something. The waitress also couldn’t do her job, but we gladly helped her settle the bills and fix their mistakes. All of this we would have accepted, but the owner’s comments and behaviour became unacceptable. We wanted to introduce 50 people to a new restaurant. We shouldn’t have. There are many restaurants who respect the customers that go. This one only cares about how much you spend.
Had an amazing experience at Bincho. Staff is super friendly, and professional. We shared different plates to be able to try most of their dishes and it was delicious every time. Great cocktails and wine list as well. Loved it! Will definitely return with more friends.
