Fantastic new steakhouse! While staying at the St Martin hotel, I decided to try this new restaurant. It was a good decision. Great food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Menu states dry aged 10 oz steak. Ordered rare. It was rare, and very tough. It was also much smaller than any 10oz ive ever had. For 68 dollars, it really felt like a scam. The sauce was supposed to be perigourdine for an extra price, but it ́only tasted burned bovril. My partner's filet mignon cooked medium well had blood on the plate, which implies steak never rested before serving. For a restaurant that bills itself as premium steak house, it was worse than the keg. Had boudin, deviled eggs, bone marrow, and confi leeks for app. The boudin was hard fried. The confi leeks were served cold. The bone marrow was minimal despite being in a massive bone. The deviled eggs were runny. It felt like room service food at a moderately expensive hotel. The drinks were great. They just made them in batches then would hand them out to everyone in batches which meant waiting. Lots of waiting. They even asked me to wait for the manager before giving me my bill. 30 min later I asked if I could pay so I could leave. Never saw the manager. Bill was 300 +tip for 4 apps two mains 1 8oz glass if wine, 1 mixed drink, 1 glass prosecco.
Went to benjamins and had the best time. Thank to our waitress Joelle she was the best and went above and beyond 🙏🏾
I've been here twice, first time for lunch service which they had an amazing deal where the main course came with a complimentary appetizer. The second time where I was hosted by a great dude named Niko. He prob made me the best cocktail I had in a while called the Cendres D'armbre. This place seriously made me love eating steak and the staff has an amazing sense of charisma and charm.
Very good food and service.
Nice Buzz, Nice setting. Friendly & Efficient Staff. In general food was good, wine great, but, Lobster Thermidor, not so…5 out of 10, so-so lobster tail not great recipe, I make much better at home. Would be much better if Half fresh lobster instead of frozen lobster tail, Owners could still reach decent price point…Risotto was great. deserts really good. Overall, nice evening.
Excellent experience during a business dinner. Staff was very friendly. The onion soup and flank steak were excellent. Definitely going back.
great food and service. we ordered a bennedict, classic egg and a french onion soup. I said the soup flavor was too strong for me and they gave me a refund at the end. It was surprising. def recommended!
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and top tier service. Prices are very reasonable for the level of quality.
We, as some of the other reviews, were very much let down by Benjamin’s Valentine’s Day menu. I would essentially second another reviewer’s opinion: “The biggest letdown was the food. The evening was a fixed menu, so there wasn’t much choice, and unfortunately the portions across the menu felt forced and not filling. The steaks arrived cooked two completely different temperatures within the same order ( medium rare). The portion size was honestly the worst part. The main dish consisted of two very small pieces of steak, and I left the restaurant still hungry. That should never happen after an expensive Valentine’s dinner.” For our part, the service and the atmosphere was fine, on par with other high end restaurants, but the food was just not there, especially for the price ($340 for two people). Most of the stuff had clearly been on a plate warmer for quite a while (film on sauce, dry texture) which is frankly ridiculous for a place that expensive. The whole menu just felt as if it was trying too hard to be “fancy” though with very little substance. Left hungry and a little frustrated. Would not recommend.
We chose this restaurant for Valentine’s Day hoping for a special night, but the experience ended up being beyond disappointing. Unfortunately, this is not a place we will be returning to. The biggest letdown was the food. That should never happen after an expensive Valentine’s dinner. The atmosphere also fell flat. For a Valentine’s evening, we expected something more intimate or refined, but the music felt like standard radio hits rather than smooth classics or jazz, which took away from the ambiance. Service was polite, but not very attentive. Staff frequently had to squeeze through the space and repeatedly bumped into my wife’s chair throughout the night, which became distracting and uncomfortable as the evening went on. The wine was fine, but the Negroni was poorly prepared — warm and seemingly unstirred, as if the ice hadn’t been properly mixed. Overall, the evening didn’t come close to expectations. Montreal didn’t gain a good steakhouse here, and after this experience, we won’t be returning.
I ordered the ravioli, and while they tasted good, I was honestly surprised by the portion size. There were only seven small ravioli for $38 (before tax and tip), which felt underwhelming for a main dish at that price point. As you can see in the photo, the center of the plate was mostly sauce. I genuinely expected at least one ravioli under it, but it was just more sauce. It ended up feeling like a plate of sauce with a few ravioli rather than a main course. My boyfriend ordered the steak, which was good but nothing particularly memorable or special. We were also seated at a very small table that felt cramped, quite close to the neighboring table, which made the experience less comfortable. Overall, the flavors were solid, but the portion size and overall value did not match the price.
It is a newly open restaurant. Atmosphere is very, very nice. We were sitting upstairs in the mezzanine, and we have a great view of the entire restaurant. Highly recommended if you’re in for a romantic dinner. The waitress, Emily, is very very nice and helped us to choose the appetizers. And her recommendation is right on. Overall a great choice for a nice night out with my wife and my kid.
Amazing service thank you David and Philip the manager! Bravo! Food was amazing! Worth every penny! Great experience!
Horrible organization! I reserved a table a month in advance for an event and they canceled my reservation with zero explanation 5 days before the actual event. When I called they just told me they have a private event so they canceled all the reservations. If you respect your planing and time do not waste your time with this place!
Business Lunch. Excellent service provided by Charlotte & David. We tried the cocktail of the day... it was delicious... "Marmalade Mocktail". I tried the appetizer snail with mushroom, Beef flank steak and Paris Brest for dessert... Presentation and food were amazing. Will come back.
The food is absolutely insane — so delicious! I 1000% recommend this place. Raphael nous a donné un service incroyable
Was out for dinner with an advisor of mine and the scene was very nice here. Quiet enough for good conversation. We were seated right away without rsvp. Service was excellent and provided good recommendations. You have to try the crispy blood sausage - this was suggested as very popular so had to try. It was so delicate but still had a bite. I also ordered the crab cakes and was nicely done. What was disappointing was my dry aged sirloin. I ordered it medium rare, but had a very inconsistent temperature. Flavor wise, it was very beefy and had a nice crust to it. I might have been happier with the filet. They brought out small hors d'oeuvres which were lovely. Our waitress was super nice, had great suggestions and was helpful with the menu. Would come back to try other cuts of beef. Will update hopefully soon .
Food and service were spectacular!!!
Went there for a friend’s birthday. The food was horrible and the service was even worse. We were basically ignored by our waitress for most of the night, had to ask multiple times for basic things (water) , and still waited a long time. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a special occasion. Definitely would not recommend.
