Where to start. Beautiful restaurant, located near atwater market and downtown. The food menu is well rounded with Japanese, Vietnamese, Canadian roots i would say. The cocktails are really great as well. They have a great selection of aged fish sashimi, which might sound weird at first but upon trying… wow Takoyaki, crudos, the black cod dish.. i am definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu! Edit! 2 years later, i’m back! The menu changed but the food got even better! I love how Thierry and the team keeps improving their dishes, drinks ! Bravo 🙌

There is a loud humming sound that will accompany you through out your entire stay... they gotta do something about that. The omakase is not that special, way over priced for the price, you wont leave the place full at all.

I rarely give a bad review, but our dinner last night was really not good. The only things we enjoyed were the marinated eggplant small plate and the tuna. The chashu pork bao tasted like it had gone off (and we like coriander, so it wasn’t the sauce), the spare ribs were meh, and the duck was too chewy in the ramen whilst the broth tasted fishy. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

Had the Omakase, would have it again! Every bite was delicious and walked out full!

Such a fantastic experience. The food was outstanding every bouchées was better then the next. A few of my favourite dishes included the miso cod, and yakitori treat! The drinks were excellent too. Our waitress Alice was such a treat and managed to go the extra mile to make my birthday special. Can’t wait to go back

Wonderful restaurant, with authentic Japanese cuisine. The hand made ramens are the best in Montreal. The pork bun is one of the most delicious I have ever eaten. The texture of the bun is soft, the pork is melting in your mouth and the slightly acidic sauce counterbalances perfectly the fat of the pork. The aged fish is always changing but always surprising and delectable. They have an impressive list of sake. The open kitchen makes it very convivial, the service is friendly and professional. It's a true gem!
