Well. I have lived near this amazing snug fir 8 years and did not know what I was missing! I dont drink much at all, but today I wanted an Irish Coffee. I stayed for poutine and another coffee. The place was not full at about supper hour, but began filling with young and old around 8 pm. If I was an English Tourist or resident, I would ask for Pascal. She was my server and was very good at her job and being a very kind human. Her smile met her eyes. Very much a company asset. Also for tourists, her English was perfect bilingual for sure. I am doing better. But, I am old. The huge pub is warm, cozy, and had games cards puzzles all sorts of interactive play. It will cost the table a few dollars to access the toys. But many were really enjoying their party of 4 or more playing games! Well, new to me and such a good idea! The wood panels were waxed and felt like a log house. Spotless. Could trust the food. People were happy. It became sensory overload so asked for a taxi. One was called. If I had to mention anything, it has to do with safety of the patrons leaving. It was around 7 or 8 and twilight. I saw a young dark skinned youth standing down to the right of the building. He was staring at me too long and started to swing his arms as he walked up to the lobby where I was waiting for a taxi. Every hair on my neck stood up. I dodged back into the lobby and waited inside. Pascal was there. I did not tell her my concern here I hope the Pub can see this review. I feel patrons may be targeted as I have felt tonight. If drinking, please be aware of your surroundings when leaving. It might be a good time to step up security at this establishment. I did not feel safe. I am sorry since it is not your fault. I am just informing the public fairly. I dont take money for reviews.
