I have been to this restaurant several times and I really love it. The quality of ramen is perfect and the taste is authentic and the same taste as ones I had in Japan. I appreciate their professional service.
Reviews / Ratings for Ramen Nakamichi
I’ve been here sooo many times and it’s always amazing. Definitely my favorite ramen spot in Montreal. Their chicken broth just gets me every time!
The staff was very friendly and the music was great! Super great food too.
I got the red Tori-paitan and asked for extra hot. The ramen came lukewarm, the broth was incredibly thick (felt like curry/pasty texture), the egg was cold, and it wasn’t spicy at all. I question their choice of toppings. I read another review from 4 months ago and they mentioned the exact same thing about the Tori-paitan. Overall, not the restaurant for me, but I do hope the business improves.
Like the other reviews said: the spicy chicken broth was room temp, suspiciously thick and greasy, way too salty even though we asked for less salty, not spicy, strange choice of toppings (arugula and red onions, no green onions). Go down the street to Tsukuyomi instead
Delicious ramen , especially the broth
Enjoyed our ramen for lunch on our quick visit to Montreal. This broth was a bit salty for our liking but otherwise was a decent experience here.
I always love finding Japanese restaurants which are truly authentic. Always a great sign if the staff speaks Japanese. :) Food was absolutely delicious (and I eat a lot of Ramen) - we had the Karaage and spicy Tonkutsu Ramen, the broth was amazing! Haven't tried other items of their menu yet, will come back!
Love this place. The ramen is great, I had the one with chicken broth and my wife the pork broth, just Yummy ! Definitely will come back.
I myself been to hakata before. Uh The ramen is just 6/10. It just makes me wanting to go back Fukuoka. I wonder if the shop adjusted the taste for white people. Not to mention too salty as well without the deep/complex flavor that it usually comes with. 塩っぱいすぎ. I have no idea why so many restaurants in Montreal differs so much from country of origin. Maybe is the ingredient differences. I brought my Quebecois gf to try tonkotsu ramen in Taiwan before and even she admits the ramen there are better and she clean up the bowl. So this confirm my taste bud isn't the problem. Bonus point to the thick noodle. All the Tonkotsu ramen I had in Fukuoka was made with thick noodle 😋So I really appreciate that one.
I give 2 stars because I ordered on uber eats so I cannot say about service and atmosphere. I ordered the Cha siu don for 18$. I like the taste but the size of the bowl was small and they only put few pieces of THIN char siu meat on top of so much rice. The ratio of char siu and rice is not good. So little meat and so much rice! I was still hungry after that. I was really disappointed. It's really not worth 18$!! I saw they also have a smaller size bowl Char Siu Don for 10$ and I imagine already that the bowl will be the tiniest little cup that you can finish in 2-3 bites! What a joke!!
One of my new favourites for vegetarian ramen.
