We recently tried Misoya in Blue Haven Mall in the West Island, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The deep-fried chicken gyoza were fantastic: perfectly browned, crisp, and served with a delicious dipping sauce. The chicken shiro miso ramen was also very well done, with BBQ chicken that had a beautifully balanced smoky, grilled flavour. The sauce was savoury, authentic, and complemented the bowl without overpowering it. I had the tantan pork ramen, and every element was rich and flavourful, from the seasoned ground pork to the roasted pork slices. The egg was prepared exactly as it should be, with the right consistency and texture. Overall, Misoya delivered a very authentic, flavourful, and impressive meal. A nice taste of Japan in the West Island, and definitely a restaurant worth returning to.
Reviews / Ratings for Ramen Misoya DDO
Great selection of ramen, AND on the West Island too ! So nice to meet Derik, and thanks for the great service! We sampled the Karaage (tender pieces of marinated chicken, thinly battered & deep fried till yummy). We also had the Tantan Ramen Deluxe (grilled Cha-Shu pork ramen) and the Tantan Ramen Chicken Deluxe (grilled Cha-Shu Chicken ramen). Both ramens were excellent. So pleased with the food ! What a great find !
We were a group of 12 people and 12 people were amazed by the service, food and hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
Absolutely delicious ramen. Got takoyaki as well, and it was perfect. The service was extremely friendly. 10/10 recommend!
I have nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely worth a visit if you can, everything was great and the ramen was delicious !
Great local ramen place. The ramen is excellent with high quality ingredients and many options. Prices are reasonable and the decor is nice. I would definitely come back.
Amazing ramen, Misoya also exists in Japan and truly after trying most ramen’s of the city Misoya never fails.
This is THE best ramen in mtl and I've tasted a Lot of ramen. The fried Cha Shu is cooked to perfection. The broth is rich and noodles and delish! There's a broth for every taste. Don't forget to ask for extra broth if the flavor is too rich.
Delicious ramen with generous portions. The fried chicken were tender and crispy. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. But the service was a bit slow. Just a small suggestion: it would be great to have real spicy chili sauce or chili flakes available on the table. Also, the asparagus dish would be even better if served warm rather than cold.
First time experience and I highly recommend coming here! Sophie is very polite, helpful and hardworking. The service was great and the food quality was even better! If you want to have a nice cozy spot to eat, do come here!
Really good ramen and very affordable everyone should come here very cozy the waitress was super nice and helpful Sophie did a great job walking us through the order system verry fast and clean order system love the place definitely coming back!!!!!!
i really enjoyed their takoyaki! the ramen noodles are pleasantly chewy and their meat portions are much more generous compared to kinton ramen 😋
The charred meat is bitter and overpowers the broth. I can only taste the burnt flavor.
Be careful and check your bills, they scammed us by billing the most expensive ramens on their menu when we didn’t order those.
Their ramen is delicious! The staff is always cheerful and helpful as well. I’ve been twice already and need to go back to try everything on the menu!
Sophie was amazing. She helped us to decipher the menu and recommended excellent food choices that met all our dietary needs and expectations. Definitely recommend!
Ramen Misoya DDO is a great spot for ramen in the West Island. The broth is rich and full of flavor, and the ingredients taste fresh and well prepared. You can tell they put care into every bowl. The owner was very welcoming and took the time to help us understand the menu, which made the experience even better. The place itself is modern, clean, and has a nice atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient, and everything came out hot and well presented. Definitely a solid choice if you’re craving good ramen in the area. I’ll be coming back.
Saw this spot on TikTok and, as a ramen lover, we had to try it! The vibe was very chill, literally. There was a cool breeze inside, so we kept our coats on. It was a bit of a turn-off at first, but it might have just been because it was a very cold winter day. That said, the ramen came out hot and incredibly tasty! It warms you up instantly and leaves you feeling completely satisfied. I’ve included photos of what we ordered. I highly recommend the Grilled Pork Chashu that comes with the ramen, it’s perfection! The pork is so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and the smoky flavor pairs perfectly with the noodles and rich broth. Honestly, writing this makes me want to go back already! The staff were also very friendly, which made the experience even better. I would definitely come back to this spot again and again.
Very good, portions are big, all of us left with take out :) We had 3 different types of Ramen all were tasty! Karaage was really great too!
Really good ramen spot. Delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Food lacked flavour. Portion not the greatest. Felt rushed. Decent decor. #matsuno
It seems like the Gold Kome Deluxe Ramen is heavily influenced by Sapporo (Hokkaido) style ramen with thick egg wavy noodle (chijire-men), red miso broth and chashu (roasted pork belly). The texture of the noodle is quite good and chewy while helping to hold the miso broth nicely, however, the broth is on the saltier side and lack the umami of pork/chicken stock. I got 2 very thick cut of chashu where the fat does melt in my mouth but the meat can be more tender. It is always a good news to have new restaurant startup in West Island, however, as a franchise linked to corporation back in Japan, I have more expectation in terms of food and service. There are rooms for improvement quite honestly.
I think it's the broth that makes it, slightly nutty sweet flavor, a bit of sesame oil on the surface, soup base is premade but not harsh salty like other MSG filled ones, combined with the charred pork, it is really not bad.
Listen - this is the place. I know my ramen. I frequented Misoya on Bishop. It was the tiny little amazing ramen place. I was shocked and so happy to see them open here! Broth is A1. I changed out the cha-su for friend pork. Also added an extra egg of course. Totally affordable and you leave feeling great!
Oishii!! Absolutely 10/10 ramen! The chef definitely went to school 🤤
