Reviews / Ratings for Pub Wolf & Workman
I am a massive foodie and the food here is amazing! The hummus is divine! The pomegranate seeds, pistachios and that hint of horseradish is soooooo great, that sauce is banging!!!!! The sticky toffee carrot cake will make you weak in the knees!
Thanks to Callum for the service, the best !! I will come back for sure
Try the Buratta and the Pep Talk! I will be dreaming about the Buratta for a very long time.
Busy popular place, have had lunch and dinner here , the chicken pot pie was exceptional. Good choice of bar snacks and drinks. Well looked after by staff.
Amazing
The Wolf and Workman in Montreal has that homely, lived‑in warmth that makes you settle in the moment you walk through the door. The fantastic staff keep the place buzzing — genuinely friendly, quick on their feet, and always ready with a recommendation. The chicken pot pie deserves its own spotlight. It’s huge, golden, flakey pastry and deeply comforting, with a filling that’s thoroughly tasty from first bite to last. Exactly the kind of dish that makes a pub feel like a second home.
First time visit on a first date. It was quite busy and we were lucky to be placed in the corner by the windows. Television just above our head and the packed house made it very loud. But we were quickly served and the house beer was good with nicely seasoned out fries. I would go back!
Great place excellent customer service, delicious food. I was lucky to be there during the playoff of hockey game and the energy was amazing. I’m from abroad and make want to support local team 🤩🤩. Loved it
Atmosphere resembles an English pub. Very quaint. Our bartender was great, she made our drinks very tasty. Great seats to watch the F1 qualifying. I ordered sourdough bread and I thought with butter on the side. Instead got two pieces of hard toast with butter melted into it. Would not order again. Other than that, it's fine!
I didn't like food quality here. Less options to choose.
We enjoyed an excellent weeknight dinner here. The atmosphere was very lively and we waited about 15 minutes for a 3 person table. We shared an excellent Scotch Egg before a variety of entrees including a gorgeous pot pie. Great selection of drinks. Would definitely return!
Cool spot and nice ambiance
Made a last minute reservation on a holiday Monday and had an extraordinary experience. The drinks (including the “Negroni of the week”) were phenomenal and reasonably priced. The food was INCREDIBLE - homemade chips with the most delicious French onion dip I’ve ever had. For my main I ordered the porch chop with white beans and chorizo and I’ve been craving it ever since. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie which was absolutely amazing. Last but not least - the service was absolute perfection. The servers were the friendliest and genuinely sweetest people I encountered on our trip, and we’re talking Canada so everyone is already operating at a level of courtesy above and beyond the states. The service and the wonderful people at Wolf & Workman truly made our experience perfect. I only wish I could remember specific names! You will NOT regret a table, a drink, and some incredible food here. Cannot recommend enough.
Pies were the best I have ever had.
We met English friends in Montreal and so decided to find an English pub for old times sake. Google maps offered me the Wolf & Workman as the nearest hit. We had a great lunch, but I would comment that the menu is not English Pub and there was only one bitter and Guinness on tap, both of which I was ok with, but mention it in case you are really looking for that English pub experience.
Hadn't had a savoury pie in a hot minute, so this was a great place for elevated comfort food! Had the Fisherman's pie and enjoyed it! Very generous with filling 🥧
We were there in May-19- 26 A lot of food options and beverages to choose from, the staff is friendly and helpful! Sat outside in the back patio Very nice atmosphere! Food was fantastic! Thumbs up, love the name of restaurant!!
Great service, a booklet full of wines & drinks options.
Went for the brunch and had a great time. The food was to die for. Great cocktails and a great server. Would def recommend.
Cozy pub in the heart of Old Montreal! Three of us shared the chicken pot pie (WOW!!!) and the lamb cavitelli. Delicious food and great service.
Very cute old building in old Montreal . Went for lunch and found the good to be pretty good but the service was super slow. Giant portions - highlight was the chocolate dessert
So good!!
Lively with outstanding pub food and nice selection of cold beers. Great service.
Loved this little pub/restaurant! Met for dinner after a day of exploring Old Montreal. Cool vibe with a lot of character. Cool art and fixtures. Staff was wonderful. Helpful and gave great recommendations! The Assiette Mezze was delicious. Cream of mushroom soup was rich and tasty. Burger and were both hits! Nice selection of mocktails. Upon recommendation I tried the Limonade Rose & Noix and it was fabulous!
