Pub St-Pierre is our go-to spot whenever we’re in Old Montreal. If you’re looking for a true local vibe paired with great food, this is it. The menu is absolutely delicious without any pretension. My personal favourite is the steak tartare—available during dinner service and always a must. Whether you’re in the mood for a pint, a cocktail, or even a mocktail, you won’t be disappointed at Pub St-Pierre. ♥

Pub St Pierre is my go to spot in old Montreal. Great food, cocktails and great service and a cozy vibe!
Writing a review as I see another recent similar reviewer about a similar case and this could be a trend to be watchful of. I went to this pub recently and got a drink and appetizers, including oysters. Later that night I got severe food poisoning, which took the whole weekend to fully recover from, and my friend had a similar experience. I advise the pub and future clients to be careful. I had no problem with the service, but this was a very unfortunate outcome, hence my 1 stars.
The place is very nice, our waiter very friendly. I came with a friend and we both ordered a cocktail as well as 6 oysters to share. After 3 oysters and half my drink, my stomach hurt so much I told her to finish my alcohol. Later that night, at 3AM my friend had food poisoning until the next day. I think the oysters might have been bad. For that despite everything else positive, I can only give one star.
Came in for a work 5 a 7 with colleagues. We were told that our reservation was valid for 2-hours (so far so good). About 5 mins after we were served a fresh round of drinks (close to the 2-hour mark), the staff came and told us we had to leave the table immediately. Our beers were still completely full so we asked the staff what to do if we were literally being kicked out of the table, they told us to stand up in the corridor (outside the toilets, in the way of staff coming in and out of the kitchen). We ended up walking out to finish our drinks (the 10C night somehow felt warmer than the cold treatment we got from the staff!), this caused yet another discussion with the staff. Never coming back! I've really enjoyed sharing this anecdote with everyone I know... as people say: "your customers are your best advertisers!" interestingly, as I've shared this story with other colleagues and friends, many people have told me that the same thing happened to them! Sloppy strategy Pub Saint Pierre, particularly when your clientele is made of local working people, who, like us, organize work gatherings often... we will continue to do this, just not at your pub!
What a phenomenal place, cosy and delicious beverages and atmosphere. The staff was fun and made me want to go back (which I did}. The bar is small but never had any issues with seating or service. The customers around us were also a pleasure, and when I mentioned where we went to people, every local was like.. Oh yeah good bar. Bonus info. The bathrooms are worth visiting for the decour. Wonderful place
Good old fashioned pub. Trust when I say that you won't be disappointed.
Poutine was okay, gravy was underwhelming, fries were a bit overdone. Service was good.
We had a dozen oysters and poutine, I would highly recommend both. The bartender was friendly and provided great service. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for at the time.
We went to Pub St Pierre as a group of 7 for brunch over the weekend and had a great experience. Our server was prompt, took care of our guest with dietary restrictions, and ensured everyone was well taken care of! Food was great and we had no complaints! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere solely because the music was way too loud for a brunch service, otherwise everything was very clean and inviting!
This pub had great food and truly excellent service. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and made us feel very welcome from start to finish. The atmosphere was the perfect chill pub vibe — relaxed, cozy, and a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal or drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious and came out just right. It is a little on the pricey side for what it is, but the quality of the food and the outstanding service definitely made it worth the visit. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and a great spot to spend an evening
We had a really nice group brunch at this relaxed and comfortable venue---an excellent place to visit for Saturday brunch with an excellent diverse menu.
Great vibe, great happy hour!
The best Pub in MTL in my opinion. Always great atmosphere and the food is amazing. I recommend that you make reservation because it's one of the Old Port busiest restaurant everyday of the week.
Fantastic cocktails! We went for brunch and the food was great. The gingerbread old fashioned was amazing! Decent options for vegetarians.
This place is par excellence. The vibe and bustling atmosphere transports you to another mood at lunch after a busy week at the office. I was seated at the bar and lucky enough to be seated near the owner. The food is delicious and well prepared and the service is attentive and amicable. The owner was kind enough to give me a shot at the end of my time. It was a delightful part of my experience in Montreal.
Hostess isn’t friendly, warm or welcoming. The small woman was on a power trip and forgot she’s in the business of hospitality. The waiter (pretty sure his name is Ryan or Kyle) was a sweetheart and genuinely wanted to be on the floor, treating patrons warmly and respectfully.
Beer selection is poor but food makes up for that. Atmosphere is very big city pub with tourists mingling with local. Bar staff is not always friendly and not engaging, much like a big city pub. Overall, great food and fun!
The pub floor is very different than the bar one on the second floor. The availability of the two different vibe in the same place is just a perfect match.
We order that Quebec fries they were really good and tasty and also we got the hazy New England IPA locally from Quebec and it was really good good atmosphere good vibe good times
Waitress Sofia was wonderful, drinks and food were great and came out fast...
We were able to snag a last-minute reservation here for a New Year’s Eve dinner with the family, which was a win in itself. Our reservation was earlier than usual (7:30), and when we arrived the dining room was about three-quarters full—busy, but not chaotic like we initially expected for NYE. We were seated promptly, but unfortunately it took about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. That more or less set the tone for the night. Service wasn’t bad, just slow and a bit disconnected, and at times it became noticeable enough to be distracting. That said, the food was excellent—no complaints there. Everything we ordered was well prepared and flavorful. Add to that the fact that we went on a Wednesday when all bottles of wine were half off, and it definitely softened the blow and made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a cool spot with good food and a great wine deal. While the service could use some tightening up, I’d absolutely come back—at the very least for drinks.
We went NYE with a reservation. Everyone was so kind. Drinks and food were phenomenal!
