Ste-Adele FINALLY has a hotdog and poutine restaurant and I really WANTED to like this restaurant. Unfortunately, after my experience eating there, I simply can't recommend it. Why? For three reasons: 1) Even though the food tasted great, both my wife and I experienced the runs the rest of the afternoon. How can you screw up hot dogs and french fries? I didn't think it possible. 2) My wife made the mistake of asking french fries with gravy. This appear to be a very unusual thing to ask for and really stumped the employee taking our order. Instead of charging us for the extra sauce or a poutine with no cheese, the employee charged us the price of a trio with an ADDITIONAL fries and gravy. So because my wife asked for gravy with her fries instead of a poutine, we were charged an additional $6. And though we were charged for it, we did not receive a second order of fries. 3) The service was incredibly slow. There was not a big crowd there when we arrived for lunch (maybe 3 customers ahead of us in the queue), but it seemed like they weren't prepared at all. To make matters worse, one of the customers ahead of us returned to the cash register because he too had been charged extra for something and we had to wait until the employee at the cash register could figure out how to reimburse that customer. Overall, it would have been faster had we driven to Saint Sauveur and had our lunch at La Belle Province instead. When we finally did receive our order, we had the pleasure of paying over $37 (taxes included) for two hot dogs trios (one with a small poutine and one with a small french fry with gravy). Such a shame!
