Was at Portovino in Laval Saturday April 18th for a 75th Birthday, was served by Christina K, she gave us amazing service, absolutely went out of her way to make our experience very enjoyable! Will go back again for sure!

Tried the seafood linguine and mussels with vodka sauce and fries and they were delicious. The crème brûlée was also very good. Thanks for the great service.

My family loves coming here, amazing good quality food and wonderful service. We have come for lunch, supper, brunch and always plan our group events (birthdays, baptisms, etc.) here and it never disappoints. Lora is always so helpful and accommodating for planning of bigger groups. Really amazing service from the moment we reserved to the moment we left. Highly recommend for any event, family brunch or just a dinner for 2!!

As usual, the food was amazing. Love the atmosphere. Excellent service. The manager makes sure that everyone is enjoying their meal and the service. Today was a brunch, the place was full, but the service was still on point. Excellent job to the whole team 👍

Went here for my friends birthday. She booked for a certain amount of people and several cancelled last min. The manager was so mean to my friend about it telling her she needed a deposit and rushed her to leave the table. Wouldn’t allow her to cut her cake in the restaurant when it was raining outside. I get your counting on $ but compassion for the birthday would have been nice. Wasn’t her fault people cancelled! I wonder if it was racially motivated? Very disappointed for the managements treatment of my friend.

I always have such an amazing experience at Portovino Laval. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and makes you feel comfortable right away. The staff truly go above and beyond. They’re not only professional, but genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming, which creates such a great energy throughout the whole place, and the manager is fantastic as well, always ensuring everything runs smoothly and that guests are well taken care of. It really feels like one big family, and that shows in the level of service you receive. The food is absolutely incredible, everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care and attention to detail. Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, and you can tell there’s real pride behind what comes out of the kitchen. It’s the kind of place where you can fully relax and enjoy your time, which is exactly why I keep coming back again and again. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for great food, great service, and an all-around amazing experience.

Had a great brunch at Portevino Restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff was super nice, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We met Costa, the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive—he even took great care of my son, which meant a lot to us. Really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!

Overall Rating: 3/5 Food: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 I visited Portovino in Laval with a group over the weekend, having heard about the restaurant over the years and finding the menu promising. Unfortunately, the experience was mixed, and I apply my rule of giving the lowest star rating for overall, which brings this to a 3/5. Service: The service was hands down the best part of the experience. We were welcomed with a smile and shown to our section promptly. Our waiter was super friendly, helpful, and understanding throughout the night. When we mentioned not liking the mocktail sangria (which had an unpleasant aftertaste), he graciously removed it from the bill without hesitation. The staff truly elevated the evening. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was nice but nothing extraordinary. The space is modern with low lighting and higher ceilings, creating a comfortable setting. It was buzzing with people enjoying a night out, which added energy to the room. Food: This is where Portovino fell short. We ordered calamari, which was perfectly cooked and a highlight. The eggplant parm, however, was undercooked. The eggplant was hard to cut and had an overly crunchy texture that suggested it needed more time in the oven. Unfortunately, no one checked on us during this course, likely because the staff was busy with large groups. The pizza was the biggest disappointment. While large in size and nicely presented, the flavor did not meet expectations. The sausage in particular felt undercooked, lacking any char that would indicate the high heat oven cooking you expect from a pizza. For the price point, the quality was simply not there. Drinks were fine overall, but the mocktail sangria had a distinct bad aftertaste. As people who regularly enjoy non-alcoholic beverages, this was one of the rare instances where we could not finish a drink. Verdict: Portovino has a wonderful team and a pleasant atmosphere, but the food execution and pricing need attention. For the cost, I expected more from the dishes. I hope they address these kitchen inconsistencies, as the service alone deserves recognition.

Brunch is amazing. Food. Service. Waiters. Ambiance. Nothing short of excellence. Smaller space than West Island location back in the day however every station is very well planned and no lineups of hungry customers waiting impatiently at any station. Recommend Laval to all for Brunch. Two floors for private dining upstairs. $55 per plate for the food selection they have is not excessive. BYOB. Win. Win. Bravo Team 🏆🏆🏆

We came here for a birthday party , we heard only good things about this place so we decided to give it a try , the entrees were excellent a little over priced for the portions that you get but still very good, I ordered the surf n turf never again will I be ordering this , they over cooked my steak and the portion was very small for 70$ if you come here don’t get anything that’s meat get their pasta, we ordered several different entrees from calamari to octopus and buratta. The service wasn’t anything great I had to ask the waitress several times for a straw, she never brought it then finally I had to ask one of the bus boys who took care of it right away , honestly we received better service from the bus boy than from the waitress herself. Never came by once to ask us how the food was or if we needed anything. Besides that the food was great I was actually quite surprised! The ambience was very nice looked new inside, if you don’t like your job as a waitress don’t be one.
