Today's experience was unusual, unsettling and unpleasant, had an element of racial tension 😳 So if you're not European, expect this type of reception from Ricardo and his Team, we were basically put in a corner and forgotten, our drinks and main meal came first and towards the end of the meal they brought on the bread basket 🧺 🤔 I asked for the bill and received someone else's expensive drinks bill 😬 When we got our proper bill, Ricardo insisted on the service charge, although it wasn't earned or deserved by any of this crowd. The one young lady did apologize, but unfortunately too little too late, so be forwarded, fellow Travellers, Best wishes, in travel, Nelson Allopi, Durban, Republic du Afrique du Sud 👍

Portofino Brasserie Italienne is a fantastic place for a nice meal and a pleasant evening out. The food was delicious, the live music created a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A spot to enjoy good Italian cuisine, good music, and very good service!

We had such a wonderful meal, the fresh home made pasta dishes were amazing, the ambience and vibe were very uplifting. Staff obviously enjoy working here. We came on a Friday night and it was a happy, fun experience.

This restaurant was an overwhelming delight! Excellent food; oh the pesto pine nuts pasta side with my divine and tender filet mignon was top notch, superb! Paula was an attentive, lovely and lively server. I still love that unique voice!

We had an appetizer, meal, wine and dessert. Our waitress selected a very good wine at a fair price. The food was good, and then we (shouldn't) had a delightful dessert. A happy experience.

I had the burrata pizza and it was delicious! I don’t eat bacon, and the staff were very accommodating and happily modified the pizza for me. Great customer service, fresh ingredients, and a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely return!

Inside is this wonderfully busy, vibrant italian feel restaurant! The staff (all of them) are engaged in the practice of making sure dinner guests are taken care of with a smile and lively interactions. Then comes the food. You will have to stop part way through and remind yourself you are in Quebec. This is especially true if you don't speak French or Italian because it just feels like you are away. Might be my new way of foreign travel....going to Quebec City! What a wonderful part of Canada. Eat here!

So many restaurants to choose from, finally decided on this quaint Italian restaurant in Upper Town old Quebec. We had the Cacio e Peppe and the Italian Sausage pizza which is made in this wood fired stove imported from Italy. Both were delicious!

Had spaghetti and meatballs the meat balls were cool compared to the hot spaghetti the food was adequate not delicious and of course very over priced . reviewed my bill was overcharged stay away

Above average tourist italian restaurant. Pesto had cream through it so on traditional. Tortellini beef was in axrose sauce and very good. Eventing else was a great standard. Nice decor,however, quite busy in the summer. Great atmosphere being in the old town.

We had an amazing dining experience at Portofino! The historic building creates a beautiful, cozy atmosphere, but the food is the real star. The veggie pizza was perfect with a crisp, wood-fired crust and fresh toppings. The pesto pasta was also outstanding rich, incredibly flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend if you are looking for top-tier Italian food in the city!

Very friendly and professional staff, hostess, and waiters. We had beef carpaccio to start, then cacio e pepe and carbonara, and ended with affogato and tiramisu. All orders came out tasty. Met our expectation. Carbonara was superb. The place is in very good location and has potential be packed by tourists and locals both. The menu has both mixture of central Italian and Italy western shore typical dishes. If I visit QC again, I stop by at this place to dine. No doubt.

Foods are fresh and delicious, special the sauce is not richly or salty and just right tasteful . Service is excellent, our waiter of the night is Steven . He is so nice and friendly, fast and efficient. Thank you so much for his excellent service for yesterday night. Appreciated.

Had such a great experience here! The pasta was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The focaccia bread was warm, soft, and absolutely delicious — honestly one of the highlights of the meal. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and authentic Italian flavors. Definitely a spot worth visiting again!

Had the mushroom fettuccine-it was very good. Had the caprese salad, it was great. Wife had Minestrone soup-she loved it. Bread was great. Good service! Very good place,

Visited this restaurant with a group of 14 and asked if they could accommodate us, even if we split up at different tables. Instead of looking annoyed, they immediately sat us all together with no issue whatsoever, despite being busy. They also easily split our bill five ways, again with no apparent issues. The staff were friendly and quick with service, and there was live music the whole time we were there. The food was excellent, as well. This is the second time our group has had this experience here, and we look forward to next year’s trip as well.

I ordered the veal and scallops. When I received my plate it was only veal, no scallops. When I asked the waitress about there being no scallops she said the veal was the scallops?? I was confused because scallops come from the ocean, veal comes from cows? Either way I was charge for a plate I didn’t receive. Will not be back. Very disappointing
