What a hidden gem, found this place accidentally and from the outside it doesn’t look like much but once you enter, it’s a busy but warm atmosphere and smells delicious. We tried the hanging pot chicken and the eggplant tofu dish. While the hanging pot chicken was delicious, it was a little sweet for our preference so if you’re into sweet and spicy, go for it. But the eggplant tofu with pork sauce was absolutely amazing! Every table had one and I see why now, can’t wait to go and try some more dishes.

We enjoyed our dinner at Meirang. We ordered the spicy cucumber salad, crispy fried pork and mapo tofu. The food was authentic, flavourful and well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was particularly considerate towards my elderly mother, helping her get seated and bringing her a fork without being asked. Good food, pleasant service and a place we'd happily return to.

How unbelievably disappointing. I went here just before the pandemic and it was fantastic! But things change I guess. The prices are just disgusting!! But I guess they have to pay for the renovations somehow. Almost double what I paid before, that's not normal. Also the amount of food served isn't nearly as much as before!! If you ask me, that's just ripping off the customers. Chinese food is some the cheapest food you can make but $20.00 for a meal that barely fills you up is a disgrace. My service wasn't that great either. Served by someone that seemed upset that I didn't speak her language or upset because I wasn't Asian. Who knows. But she understood at the end with the crappy tip I left. I've worked in the industry a long time and I've only done that 3 times. Maybe it was an off night. Maybe it wasn't. Asking around my friends and I'm not the only one who's gone through this. Give it a miss if you want my opinion.

I ordered some foods via uber eats, unlike previous times they didn’t meet my expectation. Particularly, sweet and sour pork ginger thing was so poorly cooked with a thick coating on lean pork. It was so hard that I could hardly chew. So I called up the restaurant to complain it. It didn’t go well either. He didn’t seem to understand what I am complaining about and started yelling at me and explaining in a language that I didn’t understand what he was really talking about. I would never take orders from this restaurant.

A old lady more than 70 years old work at the hot kitchen, but this is owners mother！ So terrible.

I would really like to understand what in the world are you talking about? Insulting my mother are you outta your mind? And old lady more then 70 years old? For the love of god none of the workers are above 60 years old in this restaurant what is terrible is you with your broken English, insulting our business with no proper reason what so ever. Next time please talk English or write a review with common sense thanks

Our family keeps coming back because the food is very good, the plates are generous and not expensive. We appreciate the BYOB possibility. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The dining room was almost full on a Friday night, which is a good sign! Even so, the noise level was okay and it subsided thru the evening. The fluorescent lighting is not too inviting but food beats atmosphere here! .

Arrived roughly an hour before kitchen closed and was informed we would not be able to sit and eat as a result and would have to take out (we were three people). That was fine with us. We were handed a menu to choose what to order. Problem started however when we began looking at the menu and not even a minute later a waiter rudely stood over our shoulder asking what we wanted. When we asked for a few minutes more he replied that he'd give us recommendations and started flipping the menu over to show us things while it was still in our hands. The whole five minutes we were there felt like a big inconvenience for him. Food overall once received was quite good, nice and flavorful chicken and yummy rice. Good food just a disappointing experience with the one waiter.

Not coming back, 50 minutes of wait time. Ordered 150$ worth of food, told us 20min, decided to go for walk, they said 30 min. Came back 40 min later, had to wait another 15 minutes.

Came here with my family and had a wonderful experience during our trip to Montreal. The food was absolutely delicious, portions were generous, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a great atmosphere. My kids loved the dishes too. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants! My go-to dishes are the fish in spicy fermented cabbage broth, fish-fragrant shredded pork, house spicy chicken, and the Northeastern glass noodle salad. If you enjoy spicy food, do yourself a favor and order the fish in spicy fermented cabbage broth—it’s absolutely amazing and won’t disappoint!
