Clean environment, friendly service, ordered by phone, asked for a specific time and everything was perfect and on time. The extra large all dressed with bacon and onions pizza was very generously garnished, the crust was delicious as was the sauce, pepperoni, bacon, peppers and onions... All fresh. Will certainly order again! 👍
Reviews / Ratings for Pizzeria La Grande Fourchette
Just arrived in Morin-Heights yesterday from Syracuse, NY. Piled the family in the car and started driving looking for dinner. After a 10 min drive towards the lights of Saint Sauveur, we saw the pizza sign in the window and pulled in. We were greeted with big smiles and smells of deliciousness. The unoccupied tables were clean and we grabbed an extra chair for our booth, which helped us have enough space for all 5 of us. After a brief exchange with the wait staff, the owner, Danny, presented himself to help with the English/French language barrier. Danny is a talker who LOVES people and his restaurant. We dove right into his history of being Irish and working in FL as a correspondent for CNN 🇨🇦 (please correct me if that's wrong) for 7 years. He guided us through the menu with the pride of a man showing off the photos of his children. We decided on a small Caesar salad, small poutine, and 2 large pizzas (cheese and La Grand Fourchette). These "smalls" were full size family dinner portions. Both were great starters and probably would have fed all five of us (3 adults and 2 children). Next came the two large pizzas which were cut into six slices. My family described them as thin deep-dish style with layers of sauce, toppings, cheese, and more toppings. The crust was firm and able to be folded properly. My son noted the "extra flour" on the crust which I told him is how a pizza is supposed to look when cooked correctly, in my opinion. Danny came to check on us repeatedly, telling us of the local area and some potentional tourist traps to avoid. We had previously made arrangements to view a local museum of which Danny knew the owner. This was probably the best start to a vacation after driving several hours and getting ourselves situated. I am looking forward to our leftovers for lunch after a morning of skiing. Thanks again Danny!
Very good pizza and a cozy place!
Great place, great food! I ordered 2 submarines for take out to eat later on in the afternoon while watching a football game. Danny was very accommodating and packed the food in different containers so the bread would not get soggy. The submarines were absolutely delicious. French fies are home made. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Really good pizza, the sauce is really tasty and the cheese was perfect!!
We came from Laval as a family with two kids for a ski trip in the area and decided to stop by for pizza. It was our first visit — but definitely not our last. Danny, the owner, is incredibly charming and welcoming. He was especially kind to our kids and even treated them to dessert, which meant a lot to us as parents. Now the pizza — absolutely amazing. We ordered a pepperoni and a meat lover, and both were excellent. The pizzas were hearty, loaded with meat, and clearly made with generosity in mind. To give an example, I ordered a small and was pleasantly surprised to receive a medium instead, that’s the kind of place this is. Overall, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home rather than just another restaurant. Fantastic food, generous portions, and great people. We can’t wait to come back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The pizza was not properly rested after it was cooked. The dough got all soaked in the box
We visited from Toronto this past weekend and these reviews are what led us here on our weekend getaway. How amazing is it when the chef greets you and remembers dishes you asked about on the menu and sends it over. You can tell this restaurant cooks from the heart. ❤️ The chef made a cute dessert for our three of our children and gave them a hat! We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and bolognese pasta. All three were knock outs and the poutine was amazing with a sweetness but also pepper hint to the gravy. Thank you for hosting us and treating us like family — our kids are still talking about the cheesy goodness.
Danny was amazing, very passionate about his restaurant and food. Which turned out to be amazing, fresh and tasty. We are here from Florida on vacation, and this was definitely one of our favorite spots. Take the time to check out this place!
