Amazing food. We shared a salad, a pizza and half liter of wine. It was all delicious and took us back to our travels in Italy. Was true authentic Italian pizza. And extremely affordable. We'd go back again in a heartbeat the next time we are in Montreal.

It is Montreal’s seasonal containment zone for tourists, an endless gauntlet of overpriced sangria and shattered culinary dreams. So, walking into Pizzeria Dei Compari requires you to leave your dignity at the door and lower your expectations to floor level. Astonishingly, they manage to trip right over that bar. The "Caesar" Salad If you evaluate your food strictly by cubic volume, you are in for a treat. This salad is an agrarian triumph of sheer mass over substance. The Greens: A sprawling, unadulterated forest of lettuce. The Crunch: Exactly four croutons. Not three, not five. Four. I can only assume the chef is under strict orders from a hostile board of directors to ration carbohydrates. The Dairy: A complete, baffling void where the Parmesan cheese should be. The cow was entirely excused from this course. The Dressing: Imagine a bottle of Kraft dressing’s slightly more worldly cousin—the one who spent a semester abroad in Italy, read half a book on culinary arts, and brought back a single, solitary anchovy. It wasn't a tragedy, but it was basically just a fibrous hurdle to clear before the main event. It was... okay. The All-Dressed Pizza Ordering the toute garnie is where you witness a beautiful, cynical war between actual culinary competence and aggressive penny-pinching. The Base: The crust is genuinely good, which frankly caught me completely off guard. They use actual, respectable dough and didn't skimp on the sauce or the cheese. It provides a comforting, solid foundation. The Meat: This is where the kitchen’s forensic accounting team steps in. I am entirely convinced there is an actuary in the back, sweating over a clipboard and meticulously counting out the pepperoni, slice by agonizing slice, to ensure maximum profit extraction per tourist. It is a breathtaking display of calculated stinginess. The Final Verdict Pizzeria Dei Compari earns a perfectly weaponized 3 out of 5 stars. It offers a fundamentally decent dough engineered for a transient crowd, maximizing profit while doing exactly enough to prevent a riot on the patio. It is the absolute zenith of "good enough for the tourists.

The food was good vibes also but unfortunately the service don’t much the food quality..i tipped the waiter (old man the oldest one there) like the tips i judged matching the service ..we wait 45 min to be served ! after more then 30 min in line up to get place ..the old waiter yelled on me and said the tips i give him wasn’t enough !!!! I was reputed to come this place the owner is respectful but i never saw this kind of attitude from waiter anywhere.

Not good. I don't understand why there is a line up. The pizza has a generous amount of cheese yes but it's soggy in the middle. Chicken Parmigiana had a rubbery piece of chicken that seemed like it was cooked yesterday. You better hope Pi.Co doesn't come to Montreal or they're going to eat your lunch
