Overpriced. Excellent service.
What guests say about Pincette - Bar à Homard
Pincette - Bar à Homard receives lots of praise for the quality of its seafood, especially the lobster, oysters, lobster poutine, and some brunch dishes. The service is often described as warm, attentive, and very efficient, and the atmosphere is generally considered pleasant and cozy. A few customers, however, found some portions small, the prices high, or certain dishes disappointing, with occasional long waits. Overall, it is a highly appreciated choice if you're looking for a refined seafood experience in Old Montreal.

Honestly what a great place Juliette wase a great great service will definitely recomend
The best meal we had in the city. We started out with some oysters, an absolute must. Then Eloise made the perfect suggestion of lobster tagliatelle and it was impeccable. My husband added a lobster tail to his steak to create an alternative surf and turf option. Definitely recommend!
Lobster was very very nice, totally recommended. But it lacks some side dishes to fill you up. Juliette was a wonderful server
A very nice restaurant with great atmosphere and service! Enjoyed sitting by the window and looking out.
Great service from Zaineb and the food was very nice!!
Florence was outstanding, very polite, courteous, attentive. Really enjoyed the food we had and observed other beautiful food at ajecent tables. Quality experience
Lovely stop for lunch, the mussels were amazing and Florence was wonderful!
Amazing restaurant and, you must check the hotel and the bar and, especially the terrace on top of the hotel.... However, we all, all 4 of us had overcooked lobster. Quite sad. It is a common error that disappoints....... The risotto was awesome, the tartar was awesome, my wife filet was out of this world but.....
I visited on September 13, 2025, taking myself for dinner before going to a laser light show at Notre Dame. I sat on the patio. The restaurant was very busy and every table was full. Despite this, the servers were very attentive. My server recommended the scallops and a red wine served cold(cannot remember the name). Service was quick and there old was delicious. The whole vibe was great. 11/10, will definitely be back.
I had the lobster roll and a glass of wine for dinner, the service and food was great!
A little unseasoned but overall good
The food was overpriced and not good.
I brought clients from the U.S. to this place in Old Montreal. They loved the location and enjoyed walking around the Old Port afterward. They also really liked the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant was also very accommodating, as we had originally reserved for a group of 24 people but ended up being only 20.
Great Experience, we had some waiting time but the manager really compensated the experience.. Great Food!
Pincette - Bar à Homard is a seafood restaurant located in the busy tourist section of Old Montreal. We visited in mid-May 2026 and had some really good food. For drinks, we had the Mint Refresher ($12) with mint, white cranberries, and gingerale as well as the Peachy Mood ($12) with peach, blood orange, and lime. Both quite refreshing. For our food, we started with the Snow Crab Ceviche ($24) with black garlic aioli and then moved on to the Lobster Tagliatelle ($42) with black mullet caviar and the Garlic Shrimps ($25) with butter, garlic, and croutons. Pricewise, dishes trend towards the expensive side but in-line with seafood prices and the touristy area. However, the food is quite good and has plenty of flavour. Loved the black mullet caviar in the tagliatelle. This was one of our fav meals during our visit to Vieux-Montréal.
Juliette was an amazing server and had excellent recommendations
Enjoyed my crab omelet. Would return.
Juliette was excellent !
We loved the food, particularly the lobster poutine and the grilled lobster. The service was great as well.
Juliette, was very warm and welcoming!!
Our server, Zaineb, took wonderful care of us and accommodated a food request my husband had.
Price value quantity ratio could be better
Was disappointed for take out order on busy friday night. I ordered Cod fritters which were fully burned and lobster roll which comes with fries and salad was missing the fries.
Lobster and crab poutine. Photo says it all. It was my favorite thing I ate in Montreal! The server kept us laughing quite a bit too, very friendly. My friend had the lobster roll and octopus salad. Highly recommend Pincette.
