Was disappointed for take out order on busy friday night. I ordered Cod fritters which were fully burned and lobster roll which comes with fries and salad was missing the fries.

Lobster and crab poutine. Photo says it all. It was my favorite thing I ate in Montreal! The server kept us laughing quite a bit too, very friendly. My friend had the lobster roll and octopus salad. Highly recommend Pincette.
Fresh warm croissants with jam was delicious. French toast was wonderful. Lobster Benedict was delicious.
Went in for a light lunch on a cold day and had the plumpest mussels in a warm leek wine broth, really great flavors. The miso martini was well balanced. The service was a bit chaotic but staff were friendly.
Great seafood in Old Town. The muscles and fries were recommended over the scallops and risotto and I was served with the largest pile of absolutely fantastic tasting muscles that I have had in a very long time. My partner had lobster and pasta and was equally impressed. If you are in Old Town do yourself a favor and dine here. Highly recommended.
Tonight we headed for this nice-looking lobster bar. We were hoping for some lobster freshly cooked to order, but unfortunately they only had pre-cooked. Never mind, the menu had lots of good options. We started with a few oysters to get us going. These were smallish - just as we like them, sweet and lovely. Then I chose: - Crispy Shrimps: Wakame, wasabi mayo and nori chips Follwd by: - Mussels & Fries: Iberian chorizo, confit tomatoes, cream, white wine, served with fries The shrimps were really good and I really liked the accompaniments. A good combination. The mussels were fat and delicious and the addition of the chorizo was excellent. The meal was made all the better by an excellent server. Very nice evening. Went in for the brunch and it did not disappoint. Tasty food and good service.
5 stars all round. Lobster roll is to die for. Happy days 😀
A friend and I were in Montreal for the first time and stumbled into here not knowing anything about it. Very friendly service and incredible food (one of the better risotto dishes you’ll eat). Shoutout to Suzanne & Antoine!

A great cozy place. We headed into to escape the cold, wet weather. Had a nice bowl of soup (carrot / leek) and cup of tea. Atmosphere we warm and inviting. Food was delicious. A great find.
When we think of our time in Montreal, we’ll think of Pincette and of Marie. Her warmth and professionalism elevated an already beautiful experience. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting—chic, urban energy softened by French country touches. Every detail—from the food to the presentation—felt thoughtful, elegant, and memorable. Marie was warm, polished, and attentive—we were instantly at ease which made our lunch even more magical.
An absolutely incredible experience at Pincette - Bar à Homard. The oysters and lobster were truly out of this world fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The customer service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. That level of care and attention really elevates the whole experience. If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Montreal!
The food and drinks were very good! We had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, which was presented beautifully and also came with a salad. The scallop risotto was very cheesy, which I liked, and my husband loved the lobster roll. It was quiet around 6:30pm when we arrived but quickly filled up by 7:00.
We had high expectations for this place when we made our reservation, since they were promoting local Quebec Snow Crab for the season. When we got there, the servers were actually great. The disappointment came when the food arrived. We ordered a lot of fresh oysters and more than a few came not fully shucked and with a lot of small pieces of shell contaminating the meat of the oyster. Also, the oysters weren’t very juicy or flavourful. We let it go since, maybe they were having a bad day, or a trainer was doing the shucking. Whatever. ~$48/doz. The crabcake that came next was pretty good. The crust had flavour and the aioli and fresh aromatics balanced out the dish. We thought things were getting better. $24 for one piece. We jinxed it. When the crab ceviche came, it got worse. They served the shredded crab in the shell of the leg but they put the shell in a bowl full of half melted ice. The water was contaminating the ceviche so we basically had a drowned pieces of shredded crabmeat. The seasoning or marinade, if there was any, was washed away by the time we were able to fish out the crabmeat. The toppings which included salmon caviar and pickled jalapenos on top, also fell into the water even before we attempted to pick up the crab shell. For $29, this dish is not worth it. We did complain about the ceviche and the staff offered to have a new batch delivered, which we declined. There was no saving that dish. They offered another crab cake instead, which we accepted. The second crabcake was not as good as the first one. This one seemed more haphazardly put together and it seemed they may have used less breading for this one since one side barely had any. The first one was beautifully shaped and cooked evenly, but the second one was not. The aioli was still good though. Finally, we had ordered a lobster & crab poutine ($36) what we thought was a staple Montreal dish that would be hard to botch up. Wrong. The crab had an old crab fishy aftertaste and the dish came lukewarm. The gravy was not hot enough to melt even a few of the cheese curds and the fries were no longer hot. We all know how terrible fries taste when they’ve been left out to cool down. Not great. The white stuff you see in the pic is a white sauce they put on top, that’s not melted cheese. We also reported this to the staff and they gave us another one that was hotter. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and it gives the impression the Quebec Snow Crab is not a great product. We won’t be coming back.
Lobster with melted cheese and flat fries !!! A shame . Not worth at all . Never again .
Food and atmosphere were 9/10, but service was excellent 11/10 👍🏼
This was an awesome experience.., we come to Montreal and Pincette is one place for dinner we make sure to attend
Incredible from start to finish, tasty food nice place, great service. I have one comment don’t take the baba o’ rhum. U’ll get the baba with no Rhum.
We waited about 20 minutes just to get a menu (it was not busy as we went around 3pm between lunch and dinner) we were there for some drinks and oysters. We ordered 12 Oysters and every single one had many pieces of broken shells in them and they weren’t cut off of the muscle that attaches them into the shell. So we had to use the tiny spoon to loosen them off the shell. So we could eat them. It was an awful experience to say the least. Sitting there waiting with not even a glass of water. I asked my husband “do they want us to leave?” … disappointing that we spent close to $120 on that experience.
We visited on Friday, April 10 as a table of three my wife my son, and myself. Overall, the food was excellent. The surf and turf was especially impressive, and the meat was cooked perfectly. However, I was quite concerned about a hygiene issue I witnessed. The woman preparing my wife’s guédille was using her phone and then placed it directly on the cutting board. She then continued preparing the food without washing her hands. This is honestly very unhygienic and unacceptable in a kitchen environment. Aside from this incident, we enjoyed the meal, (beside the guedilles )
Our server, Juliette, was fantastic. She was warm and welcoming, and made us elderly folks feel comfortable. She took great care of us and was very professional. Juliette is a great asset to your team.
Florence is an exceptional server. Polite, professional, attentive. She embodies the charm that Old Montreal has to offer.
