I had heard a lot about this place from my friends and finally had to try it so I went this weekend and it was amazing. The food is amazing. The bread and the fish and the chicken is so good. Oh my God the flour is and the spice are perfect. I love this kind of food. They also took my suggestions and made some personalizations and changes so I am very happy about that.

10/10 every single time. Favourite restaurant in Montreal and best Thai in the country! so. much. flavour. Dishes are to share! You won’t find your typical pad Thai, pad see eew or green curry on the menu. If you want to try a bunch of things I recommend doing the chef’s choice which includes appetizers, mains and dessert. They send out a variety of items from their regular menu and specials, and can also accommodate dietary restrictions. It’s plenty of food - you can expect to be walking out with leftovers and a veryyyyy happy tummy. Favourites are the mushroom salad (omg), chickpea tofu, panang curry, massaman curry and Thai tea tiramisu.

We had the chef menu. I have some dietary restrictions and they were so kind to tailor all the dishes to my needs. Everything was delicious and the portions were bountiful. The staff were also amazing. I will say, the food is generally spicy but more flavorful than hot. The Thai tea tiramisu was a great finish to our meal.

A very nice Thai restaurant with authentic Thai food, good flours, and lots of taste. I went here last weekend with three friends, and the staff took good care of us. We all love spicy food and they made sure it was personalized and quick.

Good service , place is nice but sorry to say too salty , my crabe des neige special dish especially, the papaye salad was a bit tasteless and the mango chausson well ....somehow I m sure mango jam at costco taste better nearly 200$ meal including another 2 starters and 3 drinks including tax only one person eating .....I d be tempted to go down to one star for food but as far as I m concerned this is nowhere near Thai food ...the only descent one was the pork sticky rice and cabbage leaves . I don't really understand the food critics in canada as this is now twice I follow their opinions and honesty vin min L.... left me the same bitter impression of money badly spent. But I can understand that if you haven't been to Asia you might think that salty soy sauce is the vinaigrette of Asian food.i would normally not make a bad review but when you have been named in the news by critics should live up to your expectations....it really leaves me wondering on how restaurants critics get to base their critics on ....

The dishes were loaded with playful spicy and subtle flavours and textures, light and fresh but also satisfying like comfort food. I was so full and happy after the corn salad and eggplant salad (which came with a nice portion of sticky rice to soak up the sauce) off the temporary specials menu. I’ll be back to try more dishes soon :) 2026: I came back and had the special Galam Plee Pad Gapi (cabbage with oyster mushrooms) and a half portion of the pork collar which comes with sticky rice. Both were very good. The pork is salty but in a good way when you mix it with the rice and and eat the leaf in between bites. Also, maybe I’m just socially compatible with the staff but I think they give the best service in Montreal, maybe a tie or step up from mikado. They make you feel at home ! I came back a week later to have the Tom Som Pla soup (rockfish from Gaspesie, pineapple, tamarind). It was really wholesome but the red chilies are super spicy and they don’t serve it with rice so this one I’d recommend ordering a rice to go with it. I think they should just include one tbh but I was lucky enough to be sitting next to someone who let me have some of her’s ;)

Wow, this place is to die for. Every single thing we ate was delicious. They were very attentive and accommodating to my shellfish allergy. Francis really made our night with his kind and warm service. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Whenever I have anyone in town and want to impress I bring them here! This place is like if a very chic bottle of funky wine had a sabbatical year in Thailand. All the dishes are bursting with flavour, snd the atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The servers are also ++ pleasant and a fun time. I’ve spent my last two birthdays here with no regrets. Get the fermented pork belly and whatever else they have on special, you won’t regret it!

I would rather say that this's a hit n miss restaurant. First of all, get the raw scallops please ppl ! It is so good ! Well balanced limey flavor with the right texture of the cold fresh scallops , very tasty! However it went downhill form the very fabulous scallops, because of the "way too salty seasonal menu item -- fried chicken". It comes with a nice bowl of sticky rice and bitter greens ( which are pretty nice) , but the fried chicken itself was super salty and relatively dry , it almost feels like it was forgotten by the chef and left in the super salty fish sauce for more than 3 days ! Even with the sticky rice and bitter greens, it was way too salty! Sadly, when we mentioned this to the waiter at the end, we didn't get any answers from the kitchen. The curry dishes are fine, it just the fact that they don't have any green curry dish at the moment let me down a bit since me personally finds the most attractive curry is hand down green ! Hunger steak is pretty good in curry sauce, the mushroom curry is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it all fine. Just the fried chicken, avoid it at all cost ! By the way, the atmosphere was nice though, chill and filled with fish sauce scent 😀

The vibe was really enjoyable here. The music was at a good level, there were so many people making the place lively but just enough that you don't have to wait too long before getting a seat. The service was nice and friendly but sometimes it would take quite a long time before you manage to catch the attention of a waiter. The food itself was enjoyable. We have mixed feelings because we really really enjoyed the flavours of the tapioca dumplings but on the other hand, the papaya salad was not our cup of tea. The dumplings were bursting with good flavours and the lettuce had a nice texture variation from the soft and chewy tapioca. The meat paired well with the vegetable and the flavours were in harmony. On the other hand, we have the papaya salad that had raw green beans that did not taste good and the overall flavour profile was just sour, and in the occasional bites, there would be a very spicy note. It was really not enjoyable to us. But the overall we had a pretty fun time dining here!

I have to say this experience was far below my expectations. I came here with a friend after seeing it promoted on social media as one of Canada’s top restaurant menus. We arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. First of all, every dish was overly salty. The seasoning was so heavy that we couldn’t taste the flavors of the meat. All the meats tasted very similar because the seasoning overpowered everything. Even the tom yum soup was excessively salty. The portion sizes were relatively small as the staff suggested. However, despite the small portions, I couldn’t even finish my meal because it was simply too salty to continue eating, I had to drink so many water after every bite. The sticky rice that came with the dish was cold and hard, as if it had been sitting out for a long time. Service was average. The staff did briefly introduce the dishes when serving them, which I appreciated. However, no napkins were provided throughout the meal, and we only received them after asking at the very end. They didn’t check on us during the meal time, the water ran out and then I stopped eating (I really can’t eat more without my water because they are way too salty 😭😭😭). The chef should definitely try what they are cooking. Overall, this experience was not pleasant and it will be my last time here.

We ordered three dishes, pork ,duck salad and Tom yum soup, and they were either too salty or too sour. All of them had a very strong, overpowering spice flavor. I’ve had many other Thai meals before, but the seasoning here is very unbalanced. The lighting at our table was also very poor — it was so dark we could barely see what we were eating.…personally really don’t understand why this place has such a high ranking.

Went to Pichai for dinner with a friend, and had a bunch of dishes to share that were all delicious! Loved the Som Tum Thai papaya salad and the Phai Mamuang Tod (pictured here) was flavourful, not too sweet and a delicious way to end the meal! Would recommend ordering a couple things to share ✨

I visited Pichai and had a very disappointing interaction with the staff. I simply asked whether takeout was available. The server immediately took the menu away and responded with a blunt “no,” without any explanation or courtesy. I fully understand that some restaurants don’t offer takeout. However, the dismissive tone and body language were unnecessarily rude. Hospitality should not disappear just because a customer asks a question.

Not sure where the Thai food comes into play We started off with the scallops which were a solid 8.5/10 but everything fell apart shortly after. The tartare and the pork jowl were okay (maybe a 6/10 but the rice that it came with felt like cement rather than sticky rice)… the food was also way too salty The duck dish and the noodle dish however were both irredeemably disgusting. Incredibly oily, bland and the meat feeling like the texture of pet food. We were expecting a lot more from this restaurant based on the reviews we saw online. Thai food is usually fragrant, spicy and delicious and honestly this joint should be shut down by the Thai embassy. (False advertisement)
