The place offers a great diversity. You have some meals in the freezer as you walk in and then all the Italian meats you can think of at the counter. At the end of the store, you will have their homemade tomato sauce and pizza sauce. I took a porchetta sandwich (which I expected to be less fatty but they made it the real Italian way) and it was tasty and filled with the perfect amount of spices and vegetables. The place isn’t easy to park in, mostly because of the few spots in the front and because there isn’t much place to maneuver, and it feels a bit tight inside, but I feel like it’s a great little place that people should visit.
Reviews / Ratings for Piccolo
Friendly service and good coffee made for a decent first impression, and the gentleman who helped me was kind. I do want to be honest, though. The sandwich was not bad, but it was quite salty, and the lettuce and some of the other ingredients did not seem fresh. I was also told the pizza oven was not working, so I could not order pizza. The food on display, including items like the meatballs and chicken parmigiana or lasagna, honestly looked like it had been sitting there for too long. On top of that, the place really needs a refresh, deeper cleaning, better organization, and more attention to overall cleanliness. This location has potential, especially being in a good spot and serving the hotel right across from it. I truly wish them the best, but freshness, presentation, and upkeep need real attention.
