The Good 👍: 1) A there is a lot of food options. 2) Food was very good and tasty. Not that salty and seasoned to my liking. 3) Service was good. The lady was kind and the owners gave us water bottles. 4) The interior feels nice and cozy. Cons: 1) No other drink options unless we asked. Maybe I don’t know. 2) Parking can be hard to find on busy days and times. Conclusion: We will back again and it’s a good recommendation. Hope to try and update this again in the near future. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience on June 17th was disappointing. The food was excellent, which makes it all the more unfortunate. Unfortunately, our server was rude and unwelcoming throughout the visit. She never checked in on us or offered anything during the meal, and appeared to be on her phone for most of the shift. To top it off, she made it clear she expected a tip despite the lack of attentive Service, or any service at all 🤦‍♂️. Great food deserves service to match, and sadly that wasn’t the case here.

Unfortunately when I was leaving, the cashier ran out after me asking me for a tip. I’ve never had anyone in the service industry do this and thought it was very weird.

I love pho and have tried many on different places around Canada but here?.. yesterday we dined here with family from Winnipeg and OMG!! I was surprised they chose the tip instead of asking customers first! How greedy! So heads-up!

As our usual pho restaurant was closed, we decided to try this one. The menu is extensive, and consists of a strange mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai dishes. We ordered the XL phos and the spring rolls. The pho was pretty good, and the XL size was very generous with meats. The bean sprouts and basil leaves served with the pho were very fresh. On the other hand, the spring rolls were just overfilled with rice noodles and tasted bland, so would not recommend. Overall, a very decent pho experience, although not our favorite.

As much I would like to continue supporting this small business, I am heavily disappointed in my experience with this restaurant despite ordering a delicious pho and a ridiculously priced coffee however it doesn’t mean that the server’s staff are entitled for a tip. And yet I did not complain the 6$ coffee that can be easily made in an Asian market plus the noodle were so thinly sliced to the point of being close to translucent. Respectfully the staff were nice and the food was decent. The entitlement that came from the staff was extremely unprofessional and rude for judging me, if there was an automatic gratuity then I would’ve still payed for it even if it’s still expensive and yet the server has again disappointed my lowest expectations. I do not recommend this restaurant if anyone likes being disrespected and judged for not tipping.

I’ve been a customer at Pho Moderne for a long time, but I hadn’t come back in a while. After my partner passed away, I didn’t feel ready to return. Today I came back, and I was warmly welcomed—they still recognized me, which meant a lot. The place feels just as warm and inviting as I remembered. The food is still amazing, especially their Tonkinoise soup, which is truly unmatched. Being back brought me many beautiful memories. Thank you for your kindness and for continuing to create such a comforting atmosphere.

I take out my pho from this restaurant (I customized my soup to my taste)😝🤪 1 thing I noticed about eating from them each time after my pho, I don't have that strange dehydrated mouth aftertaste like in other pho places🤔....likely they dont add MSG or excessive salt😃👍

I have always ordered takeout from this restaurant and have been very satisfied. I even left a 5-star review in the past. Unfortunately, my experience dining in today was extremely disappointing. My daughter and I decided to eat at the restaurant and ordered one XL pho, which is a very large portion and more than enough to share between two people. When we placed the order, the lady taking it had an attitude and said, “That’s it? Just this?” which already made us uncomfortable. When the food arrived, we were given only one empty bowl. When I politely asked for a second bowl so we could share the soup, she became upset and said, “Why do you need another one? That’s a lot of work for us.” I was honestly shocked by this response but calmly explained that we needed two bowls to share. When I went to pay, I mentioned that I didn’t appreciate how we were treated and that I was disappointed. Instead of apologizing, she argued with me and kept repeating that it was too much work and that they had a lot of customers. Good food does not excuse poor customer service. Being made to feel unwelcome for sharing a meal, especially with a child, was very upsetting. Sadly, this experience completely changed my view of this place.
